I really like the editing. Suddenly appearing in frame then stooping down to the camera is original and inviting. Don't let anyone from TikTok give you "advice", you got this.
This insulation also comes in four foot widths, which should work for most windshields without splicing. It also comes with silver on one side and white on the other. Found in most home improvement store with other insulation material.
@@GardenGirls1 If you want to warm the car, you should put the black side so it faces outside, so it faces the sun. The black color will better help to absorb the sun's rays. If you want to cool the car, do the opposite. The lighter side will reflect the sun's rays. Also, if you want to be in "stealth mode," put the black so it faces the outside. When looking at the vehicle from a distance, all you see is black, and it doesn't appear as if there is a shade on the window at all. It just appears dark, as if the windows were tinted.

Good idea - for the windshield and on the outside - adding ear flaps on each side which the doors can hold in place? Might not last long when windy though!?
I have something similar to that except it's white on one side, silver reflective on the other. Do you think that's going to be enough insulation value? Again I'm not living in my car I'm going to camp once in awhile. It's more for privacy at this point.
Depends on how cold it gets. The video I made after this one was me sweating profusely in a snowstorm in Tahoe. But if you're camping in weather far below zero, you might want something more substantial.
Thank you! It would work great during the day to keep your car cool. It's basically the same material that those windshield sun shades use. As soon as the sun sets, you might be better off with something less insulated. But I'm not sure. I've only used this in winter personally.

Thank you! That mean a lot
Yes! Change nothing. This was great!
Great idea on DIY Car Curtain. Not bad idea by the way to safe cost.
Thank you brother Adam .
Thank you!
@@AdamDoesNotExist you are welcome.
Bro if i was in San Francisco i will call you for help me around. Can learn few DIY things from you.
Great easy idea. Thank you!

Thank you. I'm camping in Maryland for a couple of weeks in August and will try this to keep the van cool.
Hope they work well for you!
I would glue a black material on one side with a spray glue, cut it out and walla. Stealth and easy.
Does the black side face the interior?

Windshield shade I would just buy one that is for the Windshield. Less hassle
And less insulation
@@RockBandVlds I'd love to see the stats. (And that depends on what it's made of. I have a nice thick Carhartt one.
I have one for my windshield and it still gets hot. It's currently 82° and I still felt hot inside.
My YT mentor is a car camper. Her channel is all about car camping. In one of her first videos, she struggled with this, mightily! How was Tahoe??
No way, what's here channel!? Tahoe was amazing! It's just such an incredible place. Working on a video about it for next week!

I miss waking up to fresh pow & going snowboarding
There's really nothing better!

nice video! helpful and simple, just as most people prefer, thanks!
lol i am in the process of making window covers for my own crosstrek to camp in, thanks for the video!
Hope it's helpful!
I made these, so easy! and work great while camping!
Great to hear!
Nice video. What can be done to make them not so obvious? For urban car camping ....
I didn't know you could buy that stuff in a roll. I'll have to check the Lowe's here to see if they have it and how much it is.
Just love how you say "HOME DEEP-HO"
How big of rolls will i need to get to cover front and back windows? And for side windows....

This is brilliant
Or you can use your visors to keep your reflectix in place, so you don’t have to use the tape
Some visors, like mine, don't hold it tight enough.
I'd probably try to make tabs and use Velcro, but that's me. It was a great tutorial
awesome video!!!!
Supposed to trace on the outside of the window first 👍🏼
Roll the window down and trace it from the outside frame
Genius
I'm wondering if this material is a good choice for cold OR hot weather? Looking for the best option for Michigan summer camping!? Love your video! 💜
