Those two things have nothing to do with the other. Why would you let your widowed mother live in a huge house alone while you and your wife work and hire a nanny to look after your children during the day then regularly visit your mother. Only for your mother to soon become frail have to move in with you all anyway.
If 'mommies' house is a 2 bedroom apartment, sure you have a point.

I really only watch true crime videos on this channel, so I've never heard of this before. What a twisted tale, laid out in 40 minutes, with the usual meticulous research and riveting storytelling we've come to expect from the dreading brothers. Sometimes these cases are never resolved but it was satisfying to see this lying, cheating, murderous scumbag get busted in the end.

@@nomesobrenome7905 as much as I still adore this channel, you are absolutely correct. Me and my partner were speaking on this the other afternoon, and it's sad to watch channels grow and then they seem to not put as much effort anymore. Burnout is real, I get that. But it also seems like the whole suggestions thing is a bucket of slime, too. Like all their recent content is more of what's trending at the moment. Don't get me wrong, gotta go with what gets the views. But it urks me when I hear email a suggestion or something and then you still don't see it after 5 or 6 months. Just baloney. Im sorry if you all are ill I do not want to be selfish. But can we please get irrelevant cases more often. Used to be a new video every week, now, it's sporadic. Oh! And whats the point of joining Patreon if those videos will be free on TH-cam the same day?? I unsubbed from Patreon for that reason. Why pay money when it will be free within the same hour. @@NeshaSyou do realize there is such a thing as quality over quantity right? The reason so many other true crime channels are awful to watch is because they are just trying to constantly pump out content, whether it be factual or not. I appreciate that dreading spaces out their uploads, it shows that they spend the time necessary to fully look into the cases. To me I can see that just as much effort if not more is being put into these videos, but to each their own I guess. If you’re wanting more “irrelevant” cases then there isn’t going to be as much documentation out there on them or the trials haven’t been done yet. So dreading wouldn’t have as much to report on. With the size of the channel I can only imagine how many requests they get and have to sort through, even just glancing through the comments you see so many people asking them to cover a certain case. It’s going to take them time to go through. Also I glanced over at the Patreon and this video was uploaded a week ago there, so I don’t understand what you mean when you say that Patreon members only get the video an hour earlier. Anyway, not trying to start a fight here I just think this channel does a lot of things right and want them to continue with what they are doing!

This is an example of how childhood trauma and abuse can really mold a growing brain. People like Brian don't end up this way overnight. It takes years to develop these types of personality disorders.
Of course, I have to say that it's not an excuse. It's an explanation as to how someone could get to the point of committing such unconscionable acts. Until we as a society recognize this, changes won't be made. I'd like to see psychology classes taught all throughout school, which would include relationships, self-esteem, personality traits, personality disorders, etc.
Children are greatly affected by their upbringing and often don't have any other influence in their lives. It's not a guarantee, but it's a start. By the time they get to Brian's age, there is no chance for change. He is a menace to society.

Great vid - one criticism! “No body, no crime..” does not only refer the possibility that a person is still alive/ “started a new life somewhere”, it also accounts for ANY OTHER possible reason for the disappearance ; (…passed out and hit their head; accidentally fell into the lake somewhere…) which DOES often include some (unlikely, but) more rational scenarios than “started a new life in Canada!”

Thanks to you and your brother for your great, unique telling of a case, I love how you always are aware of grieving family members and friends...
This case was basically this lady finding out what her husband was behind the lies and constantly not committing to her and there children like adults do...THIS MAN was coddled by the mother and his father seen his son for what he was, a mother's boy and even when older still acted child like, lies to cover up other lies and just getting bigger each time...HE knew that his wife was possibly thinking about divorce and during such things she has to give her reason, what he did and his mother to...keeping her children away from her basically using them to keep her quiet, she's smart enough to know that fighting with his mother and him just makes the gaps between seeing her children longer, after the raid she was 100% convinced she had to divorce him and i would bet that her saying that set him off, why? He hadn't planned it, you can tell by the time he googled the horrific things she was unfortunately passed away...thing is nobody else had anything bad to say about her, even the letters to the judge, none were from his family, friends nothing, all him who wrote those things and again focused upon his thinking about what they'd say but writing the complete opposite...there's case's without bodies that have gone to trial and sentenced to life, never death because say the body theory. ..BUT his actions, his purchases and even DNA will be enough because by the time he's sentenced there's still going to be no interactions with her banking, and her love of her life, her children...IT reminds me of something my mother taught me when younger, "people who lie have to have a great memory to remember each lie told " this has never left me and I even used this line with my children. ..slightly changed it a bit, if you're having a debate about whatever, know what you're saying and don't ever lie or use bad language because even if you are 100% right because you used bad language or called whoever something derogatory, you lose everytime. ..THIS IS MORE IMPORTANT TODAY THAN EVER BEFORE. ...MY MOTHER HAD SOME CLEVER QUOTES WHICH INSTEAD OF A LECTURE, A QUOTE YOU REMEMBER...AGAIN I DID THE SAME WITH MY CHILDREN. ..
THANKS MAMMY, THANKS FOR TALKING ABOUT THIS CASE AND THIS MAN WILL FACE JUSTICE JUST ONLY WHEN IT'S A VERY WELL PLANNED SHOWING OF EVIDENCE AND SHOW THAT NOBODY ELSE HAD THE MOTIVE TO HURT HER AND HIS DNA CAN BE EXPLAINED, BUT PERRY MORTOM!! I THINK THAT DNA WILL SHOW SHE WAS DEAD BEFORE HE PURCHASED THEM.....

Indeed. My late mother always told us, "if you're going to be a liar, you'd better have a good memory". I didn't understand it when I was really young, but as I got older it made more and more sense. I miss Mum every day. So much wisdom and so much love.

Murderers should not get rewarded for being good at disposing of their victims. Double Jeopardy should not apply in no body cases.

“Ten ways to dispose of a body if you really need to”- as opposed to those dead bodies that you have lying around that are cluttering the place up, but it’s really more of a nuisance than an emergency?
I think his dad probably was abusive. His mom was clearly enabling. My non expert observation had been that what creates a narcissist is usually one parent who teaches the child they are superior to others, true or not, and another parents who teaches them that they are nothing, but that what people think of you is of CRITICAL importance. The result being a person who believes to their core that they are nothing and that no one can be trusted, but who thinks the most important thing in life is how others perceive you, even if your image is a sham. Then they function like that until the conflict causes them start to believe their own lies and they reflexively block out facts to the contrary and lash out at people that can prove differently

I absolutely feel that Brian was influenced by his upbringing, but there is usually also a predisposition when it comes to narcissism. Lots of children grow up with these parental boundaries, but they don't become narcissists as adults. Narcissism and Sociopathy/Psychopathy need to be studied more from a genetic perspective to balance out the nature vs nurture scale. Your opening comment was also brilliant.

Now imagine putting a case together with no body, no text message evidence because the crime is too old and no blood evidence because the initial investigation was mishandled. That’s what happened in the Kristin Smart case yet somehow cold case detectives and prosecutors managed to put together a solid case and convict her killer!
