- Today we drove over to Frozen Head State Park to hike and explore this area. I hadn't been here in years so it was really nice to revisit this area.
We stopped off at the visitors center before heading to the Old Mac Mountain Trailhead. We wanted to do a loop hike we we opted to go up the red marked trail and come back the yellow marked trail. you can see this map in this video.
It was hot humid and muggy on the way up to the ridgeline. Once at the Firetower we could see some clouds moving pretty quickly behind us. We posed for a few photos and grabbed a quick snack. While we were enjoying this break droplets of rain began to fall on us. By the time we packed up our gear and trash it was a full on monsoon. Now we were all cold. :-) I didn't film much in the rain I didn't bring my other camera and I didn't' want to get this one wet.
I apologize for being so shaky in the last bit of this film i was hiking downhill and hiking at a decent pace.
we had some friends with us on this hike today:
Juliana
Kam
Daryl
Liam
Lindsey
and of course .....me (Johnny)
