Surprising my mother at the Copenhagen Half Marathon

- It’s never too late to push yourself and your limits.
Last Sunday, I surprised my mother by running the Copenhagen Half Marathon together with her. Last Christmas I asked her what her “Iceman” was this year. She said she wanted to run her fastest ever at the Cph Half Marathon. She’s always been an incredible support, and so I thought it was my time to give back and support her in achieving her ambitious goal.
We finished in 1:53:43, which was the fastest she’s ever been running on this distance, and I even found out that the first 10 km was her personal best ever. I’m extremely proud to see how much see pushed herself, showing that it’s never too late to push ourselves. I think it’s freaking cool to run your fastest at the age of 57.
My big mouth obviously had pushed her to try to go for sub 1:50, which we held until 15 km. But that’s only motivation for coming back next year ;)

This is why I run with my dad during his ultra marathons. I may only be able to run 10 miles while he is running 100miles, but it means the world to him. Great video!
