- Sky News host Rita Panahi has reacted to comedian Ryan Long mocking the “ginger and the whinger” - Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Mr Long claimed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have “decoupled”.
“If you are a man out there looking for a woman … you can shack up with her, she can sort of drain every last bit of fame, maybe extract you from your friends, from your family,” Mr Long said on a podcast.
“Maybe you could have some projects together that she is going to be very creatively involved in that they’ll all bomb.
“If you are looking for something like that, Meghan Markle is officially on the market.”

It was NOT a joke...it was a requested song, that the kids LOVE and they wanted to share it with their teacher, who it is clear, they also LOVE.

It's beautiful there. Oddly enough, the writers of the song were in Maryland when they were inspired to write the song.

I’m from Scotland. Live in Australia. Never been to West Virginia. I understand that song and would expect a West Virginian’s heart to swell with pride upon hearing it. Not sure why the teacher didn’t get it.
I'm Australian - Was at the barbers and had an American female barber cutting my hair and we were taking about skiing and she said to me she had only ever been skiing at Blue Ridge Mountains with her father when she was a kid. I looked at her and said, " As in - Almost heaven, West Virginia
Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River?" She laughed and said, "That's the one."
BTW - the kids at my daughters primary school in inner city Sydney all loved that song and knew the words to it (John Denver's version of course 😊).
Watched NFL game played in Germany. When they came back from commercial 80,000 Germans were singing Country Roads. 😅
That rendition of country roads was beautiful, on so many levels.

If that teacher is actually in WV I don't know how she could be that clueless. I've seen videos of entire stadiums singing that song at football games. It is obviously very much loved in that state. And why not? It's a fabulous song.

I’m an American Jew for context, and when I went to my 9th grade Book Fair last week we had gay books next to A BOOK ABOUT A BAR MITZVAH. I am thoroughly mad that they place that next to my peoples beliefs. If they had any brains they would understand this is horribly off the hook. They just throw minorities together like we all are some sort of way to show off their “inclusive” like what!? ANYHOO great show y’all, keep it up!
Sadly the lgbt... movement is like a religion to some. I can't imagine why they would have books like that next to religious books of all things.

Ryan and Danny are Canadian treasures. I love that Ryan is bringing his old school style of comedy, so many of his videos are true or become true! hes a future teller.
I think she was just surprised that they'd even heard of that song, let alone knew all the words. She couldn't show them, obviously, for privacy reasons.
