Man, crazy I've been watching QB for ages and he's still at it. Stopped playing WoT's awhile ago, but it's still nice to poke my head in and see how things are going. Plus enjoy watching the matches as well.
Come back to the game. I still find it amazing 12 years on.

I took a 5 year break and came back. Game has changed a lot with much more powerful new tanks and faster gameplay. Still drives me mad!

Such a shame all of the fun mid tier tanks of old are no longer on par with where they should be. Remember when a comet on a ridgeline was one of the scariest things in the game? Most new tier 7s barely have to load gold to deal with that. Whenever I come across a tiger now, even in equal tiers, I get excited about how many hitpoints I get to farm. And now those same tanks have the possibility of coming across a Progetto, or a Skoda 56, not to mention the tier (10) 8 BZ-176.
It could be worse. You could be driving a Tiger(P)
@@apertureemployee215 Tiger P actually has some armor, and its that rarely seen people mostly fall for it. Unless you get the dumb, the tryhard or sweatlord who goes into battle with full gold.

@@isuzu6851 Tiger P armor was even tricky to work with 3 years ago. Even when angling you only have a single strip of frontal armor that is more than 210 effective and even that only really works inconsistently against standard rounds from tier VIII tanks. You don't have the mobility or stats to play from a distance as you can in the Tiger I and you only have the armor to bully lower-tier tanks so IMO the tank is much harder to perform in nowadays. As a mid or low tier in any battle you put yourself at a disadvantage when trying to brawl but you don't really have any good alternative playstyles you could go for.
I believe unfortunately it's a natural thing to have a penetration/armor "inflation" in such a game. Whether WG wants it or not new tanks must be a little stronger, a little faster, and a little better. Otherwise, people wouldn't want to farm them or buy premiums. It'd actually be a great calculation to see @QuickyBabyTV, how much the yearly "inflation" actually is for specific stats.

The Tiger 1 is the only tank I have three marks of excellence on (9 stripes), without spamming gold ammo
Heres an explanation how the old french light tank line went. AMX 12t was originally tier 5, AMX 13 75 was tier 6, AMX 13 90 was tier 7, Lorraine 40t was tier 8 and the line ended at tier 9 which was the Bat-Chatillon 25t. If anybody was wondering :)

@@Nemesis64710T34 was the original T9 American heavy tank and was given as a premium for free for anyone who had the original.
@@Nemesis64710 Before the Lorraine was premium, it got bumped up to tier 9 for a while. It got replaced by the b-c25t-AP later and then re-introduced as a tier 8 premium.
@@Steamrick I still remember people hating their lives while grinding the Lorry at tier 9 in order to get to the batchat... OMG.
@@thunder7135 I somehow enjoyed the Lorraine at tier 9 - I was too slow to get around to it while it was still tier 8.
Tier 8 should be a hybrid video or 2 videos, the most popular tech tree and the most popular premiums

"Now I have a Lion why would I play a Progetto...." Exactly why they nerfed the Progetto I think. The Tiger would have encountered Easy 8's and Fireflys, that's only +1 matchmaking.
And a lot of Tier 5's earlier in the War and Matildas (-3)
Tiger really should be a Tier 6. We already know exactly how to balance it there since Tiger 131 exists. Just remove the long 88 (which the real Tiger could not mount anyway) and adjust the DPM and health downward.
@@RedXlV then what would be the point of the tank? there are already 2 tier 6 tigers, making the Tiger I a tier 6 and giving it the stats of the other tier 6 Tigers would make it generic, at least like this it's a support heavy with high DPM, penetration and accuracy

The lorr40t was tier 9. The amx 13 90 used to be tier 8. The 13 75 was always the tier 7 I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong

You're right. And the Bat. Chat. 25 T was the tier 10. You can search "french tech tree wot 9.1.0" for more information. That was the last update before the rework of the tech tree
Well light were match one tier higher so t 8 lights for exemple were in reality t9
@@lologramme4425 that is true. Also pretty okay if you looked at how good some of them were. The 10-shell m41 bulldog at tier 8 was lovely
When the line first released it was amx40 -> amx12t -> amx 13/75 -> amx 13/90 -> lorraine -> batchat.
The amx13/75 and 13/90 at tier VI and VII were really powerful for a short while before they were bumped up a tier.

24:50 you said it right. 12t was tier VI, 13 75 tier VII, 13 90 tier VIII, lorr. tIX and bc tier X
Edit: When they were added to the game, they were all one tier lower. 'cause there were no tier X mediums.
When they moved them up one tier, they added elc amx as tier V
Kudos for the last two carry games QB, and live on YT too! The AMX 13 75 game was exceptional and highly entertaining. Goes to show experience and knowledge of your tank, the map and your opponents can really be, literally, a game changer.

Funny enough, I actually got my very first Kolobanov's Medal with the Tiger I back before WW gave it the rate of fire buff on Sand River Encounter. The whole enemy team literally ignored capping the flag as another teammate & I was the only ones remaining until they too got destroyed.
The whole enemy team tried to surround me at very close range in the Southeast corner of the map. I was outnumbered by almost 9 tanks remaining (3 tier VIII vehicles challenged me head-on alongside a T29), and they thought I was easy pickings, but they were wrong (took out 5 of them in total & another 1 much earlier in the game). The last 3 tanks ran out of time trying to kill me and capping the flag. It was glorious.
Man this was great, even i got nerves from the chi to game. Super cool!!
Sometimes i forget how much game knowledge and intuition qb has. Such a plesure to be able to watch him explain how his mind processes these games and hear his thought process.
The vk 30.02D is an absolute beast.. i finished marking it 100 games and it was an enjoyable grind overall. Fast firing and quick.. and can ram pretty hard... anyways love your content man.! 😀

Love the AMX 13 75. Can be really fun if youre not playing vs t9's. Got my first ever fadins medal (not scripted) with this tank on mannerheim line, the same map you played as well and also got 3k damage lol. Bit of a deja vu moment there. Just wish the tank had more ammo as i run out often on close games.
Basically exactly the same with the 13 57... both tanks are extremely powerful, but thier maximum effectiveness is bottlenecked by their very limited damage potential.
I played it first when tier 8 was the highest tier light tanks in the game, I used to hate it and the 13 90 as well, they were the only tanks where I used full gold (13 75 because the pen was too low for a tank that could meet tier 10, and the 13 90 because the gun handling used to be horrendous and I gave up with it's AP ammo after I missed 1 of my shot from a clip while circling around a JgPz E-100 and bounced 2 from it's flat side)
then they made the light tanks changes, now I love the 13 90, and I enjoyed the 13 75
I don't remember if you've already done it, but could you play the LEAST popular tanks of each tier? Starting from tier VI or something.

He did map tactics videos in the past but stopped doing them because they got as many views as his other videos but took twice as long to make.
