    He should be in finals. BS judging again by the competition and competitions everywhere. He plays more mature than all those other kids

      this is a cumulative competition, and unless you were in the judging room, don't call it BS
      I happen to agree with you that he should have been advanced, but the only requirement isn't that the playing be more "mature," on the contrary, age is taken into consideration when judging these contestants
      don't be so quick to condemn the process! you have a better one in mind ?

    mmmm. i'd say competitions are BS....period.
    they've ruined spontaneity in performance. they've raised the bar of technical consistency, while lowering the expectation of any personal music making, creating what charles rosen called a 'generic sense of music'.
    do away with competitions and the clones.

      well. usually in competitions even tho technical consistency is the bomb. the way you play it also means something, maybe it doesn't add to the total points u get, but you may get 'recognised' as a skilled individual for both technical and music aspects
