Can you use expression maps with Pacifica?

Having listened to both of them and owning neither, I think I'm gonna have to give it to CSS. That workflow looks incredible and honestly I think it would be easier to do light post-processing on CSS and be done with the string section than Pacific Strings. Of course, that's just a gut intuition and I'll take your word for it that both are good. Also, I don't like the sonics of the higher notes on Pacific, but I rarely touch that high anyway.

Just found your channel, love the content! A well deserved sub. Quick question: as someone who's tested a ton of pianos, which is your go-to?

Thanks Tiko! CinePiano is definitely my favourite.

Both sound great. However, I think CSS is
much more flexible and could be programmed and mixed to a specific style of choice. Thanks for this great video, Chris!

Please tell me why additionally have Cinematic Studio Solo Strings besides CSS??? What is in the second that is not in the first? I don't understand...) P.S. series CSS unbeliveble but PS too good much too!

The difference is the extra S. Making it solo strings and not ensemble strings. Different sound. Solo strings don’t have basses if I remember correctly.

CSS is a dependable workhorse while Pacific sounds more passionate. Blakus uses Pacific so it must be good :)

Pacific is way better, CSS doesnt have that playability like pacific, for faster legato its also better. I think with CSSS, pacific could sound very very good

I'm loving Pacific, it feels like a plug and play version of CSS, great passionate sound but none of the messing around but CSS definitely has the edge if you wanna go all out and get a specific sound imo, performance samples always hit the spot when you want a nice comfy library to just throw on and not worry about!

Tina Turner once sang: "We Don' Need Another He.. " ... string library. May yes, of course? 😆

Pacific sounds a bit more "keyboard playing with string sounds" to me.

css sounds small and fake on high notes ... pacific sounds much better but is too expensive even for black friday
