I really like the contrast of the bright pot with the shiney black top dressing! It' a stunner! Much better display of plant type too, for this particular pot! Good job, Laura and love you back!

With the orange pot and black pebble top dressing the whole effect screams Halloween!! It should get a prominent place in the front of your new home for that holiday. As the camera pans around the garden I keep wondering about certain items, like the beautiful red raised bed, and wonder “will she be able to take that in the move?” So many hard choices to make. Was wondering if at your new home there is the same square footage of garden space? Have a wonderful 4th!!
Laura, I know this must be the most difficult time for you leaving so many plants behind as you move. You speak of your cacti and succulents is one would of their cats and dogs. I think you cover up your pain well, but we all know you care too much to let them go so easily. And I also know that planting a new garden will be a real adventure for you and you will make your yard just as beautiful if not more so. Hopefully the ones you can take with you will make up for some of the pain.
Just bought a tiny beach fixer with a yard that’s an even bigger fixer than the house. There are several sad opuntia stuck in shaded heavy clay soil. Wanted to transplant them when the weather cools, but wasn’t sure how to go about it. Once again, Laura to the rescue! Any additional tips for moving cactuses that are already in the ground? Thanks!
We’re all going to miss your garden, but are very excited about what you’ll create next. Can I ask, what potting soil did you use on the aloe? I’ve bought probably 15 bags of cactus and palm mix from Costco over the last few months (since discovering your channel).

That aloe looks like a hybrid for sure. I would guess one of the parents is aloe ramosissima maybe crossed with castanea?
