I have budget of 10 lakhs for a new car but even then, I will go for Alto. Bigger car doesn't always mean better. I live in the hills and the roads here are very narrow. Only an Alto is compact enough to be driven comfortably without getting halted by large oncoming vehicles all the time. I have seen people with large cars suffer a lot in the hills whenever bus or truck or dumper comes from the opposite direction. They have to waste time and energy to reverse the car to a wider section of the road and give pass to the large vehicle. This happens multiple times in an hour and in a long journey, it becomes a sore point of driving. Alto can also be parked anywhere in a city and even police don't say anything but a large car will find it difficult to park in busy areas. Even when it comes to climbing steep inclines, I have seen big cars struggle a lot but Alto can climb anywhere due to it's high engine power compared to its body weight.
So don't look at price tag or "entry level" tag. Go for the car which suits your situation best. For me, it has to be the Alto.
