- We take the new 2022 Alto K10 for a 250km spin from Kochi to Munnar and back. During this drive, Bunny Punia reviewed this new hatchback and even did a tankful to tankful mileage run. There were two people on board, the A/C was running and the trip covered various driving conditions and terrains.
Maruti claims the new Alto K10 can deliver fuel efficiency of as much as 24.9 kmpl under standard test conditions. Watch the entire video to know the figure we achieved in real world driving conditions.

Sir, I own this Alto K10 2022 car. Has completed 1K. Mileage with 5 persons with 2 point AC gave me 20.7 km per litre. Performance is also good, very peppy, responsive. 620 kms has been covered in two day long drives.

One Question- I am driving most of the time in city and driving in a city traffic and while we stop and move simultaneously moving towards traffic then will K10 AMT version gave us the right amount of acceleration power, which we changed frequently in Manual version ? Or, it would be felt jerky and may not be that smooth as Manual ? Confusion between AMT Vs Manual... Please do reply Sir....

21.8 kmpl in kerala roads is good. Especially when we don’t world class highways…
But the local buses that are always on fire! Bunny did have few instances where the Alto K10 had to be driven hard to escape them

confusion - maintain the current vehicle + buy alto 800/k10 or shift to better FE giving only one car(diesel)?
I own MG hector shine petrol Mt (aug 21).
Odometer reading 8507kms.
My experience is great with the vehicle till now.
No major issues or small niggles. (3rd service done.)
My fam is happy with comfortable luxury space.
My only grudge with vehicle is Fuel economy.
I drive calmly, with no sudden acceleration or hard breaking.
City - 8-10 kmpl (in summers, 7-8 with full ac)
Highways - 11-16 (11-13 on NH or rural highways, 16 is max I achieved on eastern peripheral expressway).
Avg of overall till 8507 kms - 10kmpl
PS. All cal tankful to tankful
In 21 my monthly running was 200-300 kms.
But as I'm now working, I need to travel 28-35kms everyday (city traffic+rural highway).
Hector FE is making a big hole (₹3000-4000 every week).
So now I'm considering either selling it and buying creta D/seltos D and keep only one car.
Or
Buy alto 800 used/new + maintain hector.
(Parking is in my home (Agra) so no issues)
Note: charging infra is not that great here and I do long trips so no ev + strong hybrid - driving review are still not out and small capacity engine
GC is imp here so no sedan sadly.

Excellent review Bunny Punia. Though I'm a bit disappointed by this very small cars mileage. Swift is larger yet more fuel efficient.

Good mileage but I wonder what the mileage will be in Kolkata. Stop go traffic and average speed of 14 or 15 kmph. This car will probably be better than most but until there are proper streets and traffic management is improved, Indians in cities will be wasting thousands of litres of petrol every day. Kolkata traffic management consists of speed breakers (CAR BREAKERS, ACTUALLY) and ridiculous traffic furniture that is wheeled onto the streets to slow the already slow traffic. This furniture is extremely hazardous and it rare to see a scratch free car in Kolkata as they try to wiggle through its roads. The old alto K10 was a very nice car - I had one - and this one seems to be an improvement at first sight. It would be high on my choices though I am inclined to the Ignis with its 15 inch wheels for Kolkata's speed breakers and pot holes and absurd traffic furniture.

I am confused Manual lun ya AMT lun...i am a new driver and just learned driving and my daily travel will be max 15 kms and weekend travel will be max 100 kms...
We recommend buying the manual transmission. It'll give you a better confidence and idea of how to control the car in tough situations. AMT is easy to live with in city traffic but you get better control of the car with the manual transmission.

No rear power windows no irvms who is made for boomers or daddies of 50,s who are price sensitive
