I do construction myself, and I don't understand why the bolts are facing upwards... Why not just hammer drill, and use epoxy and tapcons? Why did they set pins upside down like a pier?

I do mataince for schools and parks. Work is getting done all the time without anyone knowing. Sometimes I come in and we have new benches or drinking fountains and no one knows how they got there.
@@idontwantone132 you did say that though. You added the word maybe, but you still said it. And the following statement about it being cool regardless solidifies your "maybe" belief that it "might" have happened. But real talk, don't back peddle and there is no reason to be defensive anyways. You believe what you believe and you wouldn't have said it otherwise, so why be spineless and try to play both sides of the field like you didn't say something you because you slipped a "maybe" in there Edit: arguing is pointless
A Layman's Perspective impossible... You’d have to tear down a fence and a gate and rip off a bunch of skate stoppers... it would be an all day project and you’d probably be kicked out before you even had the chance to skate it.
this was such an amazing concept for a video, made even better by having a massive session on it the next day. hyped chris troy was there to get the bigspin board 270 again... probably never thought he'd be doing that one again lol. brilliant work jenkem, keep it up!
Listen, even if you disagree with them and the whole trespassing part of this, you have to respect the dedication of building a rail from eye and memory and then installing it yourself.
That is so awesome to see! Just because I have built many ramps and flipped houses easy way to find a measurement that you are unsure of is take an object you know the measurement and use that to scale the height. Bricks are all the same dimensions and using that you could of found the height. I remember seeing Jeremy Wray destroy that in videos! Love it
Damn, back in the day those tricks were considered iconic for their time. Now a bunch of dudes can just casually show up on a Sunday morning and destroy it 🤣🤣🤣
Grew up three blocks south of la high. Sketchy school back when I was a kid- I remember they had a day care and metal detectors I think in the 90s lmfao they have the fences all around and cops always on duty so the school can go on literal “ lock down” like a prison in case stuff went down.- always a key spot though! Skated that wall tooooo many times back in the early 00’s. I’ll stay huffing jenkem
My friend Stuart slid a few backside tailslides on that rail before tweaking his ankle. Sometime around 1998. There were those blue ledges at the school too -- they grinded like garbage; I think Jeron skates them in Mouse -- in addition to the famous tile banks in front. That's just my random memories of LA High. The rail was almost a joke -- it was a park rail before parks existed in Southern California. University High in West LA had a similar one in the front of the school -- the square four-stair rail next to the nine rail everyone skated. Too perfect. The two guys I remember crushing the LA High rail were Guy Mariano in Mouse and Jeremy Wray in Plan B's The Revolution. It was cool to see you guys resurrect this spot for at least a day (hopefully longer).
I don't know about y'all, but stealth construction is one of the funniest things on the planet
Its even funnier when you consider just how loud a hammer drill is. Lmao.
..wandering around with cement buckets at night and meeting someone u know who doesnt skate.. haha

@@p-squash8846 i thought this myself. Wouldn't the pins have a greater chance of pulling out being that they were tapped in, rather than threaded?
It is what skateboarding is all about.

rebuild those el toro stairs

Eastside Donkey Vandalism charge on top of that too
Not just that, trespassing in a school as an adult in this day and age when everybody automatically thinks the worst of you is pretty risky.
I was thinking of putting a couple bags of concrete at my local high school, should i reconsider?

No It's not. All this time wasted on a stupid skateboard could be used to actually do something positive.

That rail is there for children’s safety.
and for skaters' relentlessness

Minimum handrail height is 34" inches. It's now the LA High "low rail". In any case, thanks for doing that.
are these regulations from the year the school was built?

Wow that was sick, triple especially the last trick what the hell :D tight!!
Man, what's up with the west coast and short handrails? I swear in the Midwest all the handrails are like over waist high until 4 or 5 stairs out.
It’s because of snow, stairs have to be bigger, rails higher
