update video on the 290 gallon dovii tank not including the 6 foot sumps quantity re-scaped and looks far better then before, all fish healthier, bigger qnd tougher.
I love that he has a huge tank but few fish. I never understand why some keepers feel they need to overcrowd just because they have a spacious aquarium
Thabk you yeah I know we used to have a normal one but gave that one up and got this one later on had it since it was 2 inches long and been this pattern it's whole life, definitely a very interesting one for sure
That dovii will become less tolerant of that butti the bigger he gets, I see he has more arms on him than when he was smaller, harder for him to get away as he gets bigger. Nice set up tho
Looks exactly like my male. I've got a few other fish with my breeding pair and they've co existed for over a year now even when the pair have tried to spawn!
Yeah bro people think because they didn't do it right that it's the fish can't be co existed with other species lol those 2 are a pair and they've co existed with other fish since babies and we've had them for a long time now there in with fish that are only a few inches long and doing fine, it's why I laugh at the people who comment about it haha they don't have much experience I think lol, good to hear yours are co existing just fine as well bro
The big guy is about 2 to 3 years old it also grew up in a 6'8ft x 3ft x 2ft tank man so alot of space haha sorry actually he'd have to be 4 to 5 years old
Is that other fish a Buttikoferi? I've never seen one with a pattern like that before. Are they able to hybridize with any other type of fish? Amazing setup. Don't let others on here slag you about it. It's obvious you know what you are doing and providing them a great home. Where would the people complaining about it want these fish to go? We all know they'd end up in a shit small tank if you were to get rid of them.

Dude that butti has the coolest patterns. Much different than the common stripes you usually see
