Episode 17 - 100 Subscribers, Thank You! - Giveaway

- In Episode 17 we celebrate that the channel reached 100 subscribers last Sunday (December 10, 2023). Because of that I will be giving away 5 packages of stamps each containing 50+ stamps.

Hi Steven. Grandboys? I had to look that up. I had an idea but wanted to be sure. So, as I understand it, it is a Southern US 'thing' to say instead of grandsons? How old are they? Did we motivate a younger generation in collecting stamps? :-)
Coldin is 12 and Liam is 9.
Both got hooked after watching videos with me about stamps. We watch many shows together as they learn a lot about stamp collecting. I’ve given them their own binders with Vario sheets. They have been hooked into the adventure of collecting. 😊

Wow, that would be impressive. I guess it is true what I read that the first 100 subscribers is the hardest. I felt the channel was stuck around the 50 mark. I guess I was lucky with some videos that weee hits. Thanks for watching!

I would go with Asia pack, that was a hard decision to make, but those Mongolia stamps won me over@@chrislovesstamps Africa, Europe and South America were great as well in that order for me... but what I love most is War, Space, Planes and any big transport like boats or trains, those always make great stamps

Thanks happybunny. That is so sweet what you are saying. Yeah, I have become better. For my stamps collections…..I hope next year will be more stable. I am not a world wide collector, nor am I a ‘just one country’ collector but I still have these ‘flight of fancys’😂
oh yes, you seem so much more comfortable in front of the camera now, and are finding nice ways to improve the lighting and camera angle. I suspect every flight of fancy will require a new stockbook! :) @@chrislovesstamps
Yep, every flight of fancy is almost a country I want to collect. I am in a constant war not turning into a world wide collector. Not that that is a bad thing, I just feel I want to limit myself a bit more. And yeah, lighting ia a thing. Cameras are not ideal. The time it takes to setup before recording, testing audio and video is stressful. 😂

@@chrislovesstamps Hi Chris I've always looked at my own country Australia's pre-decimal, but looking at Africa and Asia. Also Europe and Colonies are particular of interest. Being a history buff always found stamps to be a learning tool for both history and geography.
Wat leuk Chris, ik zie nu dat jij ook onlangs ook een kanaal bent begonnen in het Engels. Je video kwam voor voorbij en herinnerde jouw comments met dezelfde naam van je TH-cam kanaal. Gefeliciteerd met de 100 subscribers! Ik heb me ook geabonneerd. Leuk idee om de packs met zegels weg te geven.

@@chrislovesstamps het is best behoorlijk wat werk. Ik gebruik nu Microsoft Clipchamp, maar is wel wat beperkt. Chapeau voor de kwaliteit video's die je maakt!
Morgen wil ik een beter statief kopen, zodat ik van boven goed kan filmen. Wil ook nog wel tijd overhouden om met mijn zegels bezig te zijn....
Ik gebruik ook Clipchamp. Is zeker niet perfect, en sommige videos heeft het programma het best zwaar. Ik heb ook een soort arm waar ik een camera ingang en een standaard voor de ‘side-cam’. En ja, tijd voor de hobby….het schiet er wel ‘s bij in.

I would use google. Depends on where you live, what you sell and what the condition of the stamps are. I could not possibly tell you that. Also, if you paid a bit more attention to, you could see this is not the channel for that. I find it pretty rude to just comment like that without anything nice to add like all other commenters do.
