Gosh. I think I cried my way through the entire Guys and Dolls section. I’ve heard of Ian, but I’d never heard him sing. That voice is a gift from God - it’s unbelievably perfect.
Thank you so much for making these songs available. He was a dazzling actor who died far too young. It is incredibly uplifting to hear again his astonishing effortless voice.
Here fm BBC4Xtra - Julie Walters chose Mr Charleson's rendition of My Funny Valentine in memoriam to pass on as a beautiful memory for her So, I found this, thank you.
Oh how wonderful. I didn't know Ian did an interpretation of that song. How was it and what did she say about her dear friend Ian Charleson? I own an Ian Charleson Archive and I'm always keen to hear:)

I have his Guys and Dolls CD but it's wonderful to see him singing. Sadly, gone too soon.
4:43 -- "My Love Is Like a Red, Red Rose" (Robert Burns). One of the most beautiful renditions I've ever heard.
I agree.
Thank you....what a haunting, lyrical voice
I only know of Ian Charleson from Chariots of Fire and Ghandi. And of course his untimely death. I can now enjoy his lovely voice as well.
Ae fond kiss is my favourite. love Ian.
Grateful beyond words for these..
Thank you so much.

I would have loved to see his Sky Masterson.
Just beautiful. Thank you so much for finding and uploading.
Thank you, much appreciated....I saw him in the mini series " master of the game".
beautiful
beautiful :'(
Thanks for uploading this! I've been looking for his rendition of the first song since Richard Griffiths picked it during Desert Island Discs.
His voice has such a hauntingly beautiful quality-makes you forget that he had died over 30 years ago, even though he should still be here. Fuck AIDS.
