Arum is absolutely correct. Tank has 12 TITLE FIGHTS at 130, 134, and 140. He's spent his entire career in weight classes Inoue has never had a single fight at.
People should be talking about Davis vs. Crawford. That's only 7lbs. Or maybe Tank should move up to fight Jermall Charlo at 160lbs. That makes as much sense as expecting Inoue to move up 3-4 weight classes to fight Tank.
And keep in mind that if Tank went down to 128 to meet Inoue at a catch weight, he'd be so weak from the cut that he'd get destroyed. It doesn't make sense for either fighter.
Out of everything you wrote the only thing that made sense was Tank fighting in weight classes Inoue has never fought in.
Tank has a loaded weight class full of contenders. There absolutely no reason Tank should even be eyeing a fight with Crawford . He needs to go fight, Haney, Shakur, Tefimo, Kamboso, Gary Russell or Regis.

Pacquiao also spent nearly 4 years at 122lbs, a year at 126lbs, and then over 3 years at 130lbs before moving to 135lbs. Inoue just got to 122.
Pacquiao is also a totally different body and a naturally bigger fighter. He even jumped from 112lbs to 122lbs. He struggled to make the lower weights whereas Inoue never has.

In Mayweather's first 25 pro fights he had 19 knockouts and 6 UD's against mostly inferior opponents. Inoue won his first world title in his 6th fight, Mayweather in his 18th. These are stupid questions, because fans are interested in seeing a top boxer get killed. From a promoter perspective, Bob is absolutely right as it makes no sense to end the career of your star fighter. Ofc Floyd and Tank fans want it , because it's an easy money fight for them. Tank should run it back vs Ryan Garcia at 140 without a catchweight if he wants to make more money. Inoue is 30, going from 108 to 122 was a huge accomplishment. I think he wants to be undisputed as goes up in weight, so to be undisputed up till 126 will take a few years. Realistically, 130lb is his limit in 6-7 years. By that time every star at 135-140lb will have moved up and there are no big fights left for Inoue.
They want fights that make zero sense that might make a lot of money or whatever. Somehow, they get off on seeing their favorite fighter make a lot of money, yet they won't ever see a dime of that. Al Haymon holds a lot of good fighters, but protects them from competitive fights to get easy money fights to pad the undefeated records. Floyd took calculated risks the same way. Floyd advised Tank to fight Ryan at a catchweight , so Tank could get the obvious advantage. Tank was protected from Lomo by Floyd and they had to rob Lomo to make sure Devin's doesn't take a L/ lose bigger fights. You have to join PBC and observe their rules to get money competitive fights(contract for 3 or more fights).

The usual suspects include egg weights, layered hand-wraps, weight drain, PEDs, and more. Now that people are tired of hearing the same justifications, they say the opponent should go up several divisions to face their fighter. Yet, they never demand this of their own boxers.

Inoues promoter, Ohashi, mentioned Tank, AFTER the Fulton fight as a possible fight years down the line after Inoue unifies 122, 126 and moving up to 130. It's a pipe dream though, as that's 3-5 years away and Tank is a much stockier, bigger fighter that will be moving up, not down weight classes as time passes. Tanks walk around weight is nearly 160, so there is no way a fight is happening at anything lower than 130.
