@@ηλιαναφυτα "Arvanite" is a purely politicized term anyway. *Arvanites inherently and ethnically spoke Tosk Albanian as a mother tongue and Greek was only an acquired language that they really took from "Greek" Orthodox Church and religion.*
"Αρβανίτης" historically hails from Medieval Greek of Byzantines validly describing Albanians which is actually a variation of "Α*λ*βανίτης" which is very simple fact. It is more than clearly obvious that "Αλβανίτης" (Alvanitis) is how Byzantines called Albanians, the singulat of Albanian in Greek is "Αλβανός" (Alvanos). The difference is just some insignificantly minor word ending, like you say -oglu in not-so-Greek names instead of -idis or -opoulos. *And of course they talk about the same tribe in the same geographical region.* "Albanian" etymogically derives far back, an exonym, from *albus* which means "white" referring to the snow-capped Dinaric mountains of course.

You ancestors were brave warriors but they were nauive and paid for their naive mindset. *You are really not Greek, you are only a victim of circumstances and a 'Greek' aka Neo-romoia.* The 'Greeks' or Eastern Romans are a hodgepodge mess with no identity, no coherency, no genetic stability and really no history.

Epirus spoke Albanian even now on both sides of Eprius, the Albanian side, and the Greek side still speak Albanian. A lot of them that converted to Islam were exchanged with Christian Turks. This is not Greek at all, and you can't tell us that this is Greek, just because some now identify as Greek, and of course they will. That is what happens when you're systemically assimilated for centuries.
