What do you think of 7Artisans 35mm f1.4 lens? Do you enjoy using manual or vintage lenses? #7artisans #7artisans35mm #7artisans35mmf14 #7artisanslens #7artisansreview
Nice comparison, well done. I have the 7Artisans one and I really like its imperfections. The bokeh is wonderful, the handling excellent. You can get creative with it. Of course, if clinical sharpness is important, this lens is a no go, but hey, it is really fun!
How much of the Full Frame sensor does it cover? Lens reviewers should always show that. Some of these manual focus APS-C lenses actually have almost FF coverage. Perfect for Instagram's Square Crop. Does this lens have that?
@@NOlimitsON To give you an example, the TTArtisan 50mm f/0.95 APS-C covers the full frame sensor perfectly at closer focus distances, and at 99% at infinity. The corner image quality is obviously atrocious: a swirly mess, basically smear. But I like that. Many people (including me) buy vintage lenses exactly for the swirly bokeh and corner smear. These are "art" lenses. They don't need to be optically perfect.

Thanks mate) stay tuned)
I love it. The reason I would buy this lens is precisely for it's imperfections.
I keep involuntarily moving the aperture ring along with the focus ring
It's really cool how you compare the weight of the lens with a hand grenade. Awesome review!
Thank you 😹 stay tuned!
Wondering how it compare with the mark iii version. Can't find the review until now
I've com across one on a different channel: th-cam.com/video/2GSSzkltIB0/w-d-xo.html

I don’t remember to be honest) I’ll consider that for my future reviews)

people buying f1.4 are more keen towards low light performance than zoom or day light performance, missed important point,
Kerlee 35mm f1.2 FE manual lens gives you better images and even shallower DOF.
I have version 2 and it is razor sharp
Version 2 is the short version?
Is this A/F lens Sir....??
nope, it's manual only
Sharpness is so overrated
Auto Focus there ?
Nope
