What an absolute feast of game changing details. I also like the idea of having positional drilling focused on getting hands to the mat from here (vs the more common version of positional sparring from a form of guard). It really helps practice the important detail!
you can do that but grab an arm and the other over the shoulder and neck and do a full reversal into full mount. Basically when you go under and flip under him you use that momentum against his trying to react and flip him and then you are ready for kimura, triangle, or whatevers clever trevor
Could you just keep pushing with the left leg thats in the crook of the knee and use your right leg to get up for the single? I've done that few times successfully would like to know if there's advantage to one over the other way.

fantastic detail!
Showing X Guard while wearing a Marcelo Garcia rashguard... I approve. It only seems right ha
5:40 i love that move
reason being is you have more torque
you can go straight into a leg lock from there
or rarely perfect time for a twister setup

Careful chasing that single leg. Might end up in a triangle.
