The day it was announced that Keaton was coming back as Batman, I knew for a fact that I had to get the action figure and I'm getting mine tomorrow. He was top priority waaaaaay before any of the other Flash figures. I had to get him first before worrying about the others lol. Glad to have a figure of his pretty certain last appearance as Batman. It's funny how originally they said this would be his only movie, then they tried to make him the main DCEU Batman, and now this is his only movie again. Unless they do a Batman Beyond elseworld movie in the Burton universe, this probably is it but I'm predicting it'll be epic regardless. Thanks for the review.
1. Gave me a heart attack with that arm. 2. Batman realized it's easier to see silver gadgets than black at night in Gotham. 3. Now we know why Todd didn't even attempt to put him in in the announcement video. 4. Where's that DPCI???? 5. Another great video thank you very much. I feel like you do a good job staying kinda neutral with complaints which is cool. Like yeah this sucks BUT here's what you'll really see, here's why it looks worse etc. And I think that mentality can help determine a pass or buy instead of someone just acknowledging the complaints and moving on like with the canopy.
If you want more lift with the arms you're going to have to DUI it. I took both arms out of the figure and extended the notch on the ball joint hing with a exact knife so the joint moves up further, then I peeled back the shoulder Armour so that when the arm moves up the armor fold over the neck muscles and cape. It improves range immensely.
Every review of the batmobile I've seen so far has the gray canopy, so I'm pretty sure this will be across the board. I did reach out to McFarlane customer service to find out if it is an error or intentional. Not surprisingly, they said "There are no production errors with this product in terms of color and functionality". I've also heard that there is a rumored Gold Label set with an 89 Batman and the batmobile coming from McFarlane later. Kind of a bait and switch to have this gray canopy on this first one, and we can assume if the 89 batmobile happens, it will have a black canopy. Guess we'll be buying it again!
Will it be a true '89 Batsuit? Because that'd be sweet! McFarlane could save a little money and offer the set cheaper to fans by giving the head no articulation at all...just like in the movie! Then all we need is a Nicholson Joker (but getting rights to use his likeness would probably cost a LOT).
@@lanzotv Yep, I have gone to 8 different Targets near me. I found a lot of the Gold Label Keaton without the mask, I found one Batfleck, and a couple Flashes. But no Keaton in the full Batsuit, much less the Batmobile. I did manage to stumble across the WWF RAW is WAR 30th Anniversary exclusive pack with Undertaker, 1-2-3 Kid, and Razor Ramon. Got an Ultimate Warrior on clearance for cheap, and got the giant-sized Atom Smasher for cheap on clearance. So the trips weren't entirely fruitless. Just didn't get what I was aiming for.
I like to see how Keaton is back as Batman tho I wish it were Negan. Thomas in BvS. Also wish WB didn’t blame others for their mistakes & the Snyderverse wasn’t problematic bc of them. Still excited to see it
The ball pointed ears are so they do not get damaged when putting the figure inside of the Batmobile. Added durability with the Batmobile in mind. Same goes with the cape, it’s cloth to fit better inside of the batmobile

On the original 89 cowl they had to Make one with shorter ears to fit In the batmobile because it pinched his ears When the canopy closed..... I do not understand the horizontal scalp on the collarbone....really odd
I have this figure and I don’t care what anyone says this is a must have action figure if Batman Keaton figure. I bought the batwing so I gotta get this Batmobile to go with it so I can have all of it for display
Honestly the fact that we have to take dcpi codes to target, ask graciously for them to go in the back to bring us items that should be on the shelves or the pegs is ridiculous. How many people go to target and ask them to bring coke cans out from the back? The toys should be on the shelf so we can buy them.
I think the Neca 89 Batman is actually in the 7" scale, because the new Mcfarlane version is way too tall, same height as Bale and Affleck, wich makes no sense, Keaton is about 5'9 and the other actors are all above 6'

One to keep mint in box, and one to remove and paint the belt yellow and fully blacken the boots and accessories to get it as close to '89 as possible (because the NECA '89 Batman figures are way too expensive for me - and NECA Christopher Reeve Superman? Forget about it. Wish I could have one, but I ain't paying $90-150 for an action figure).

The knockoff version of Christopher Reeve is waaaay better than the T2 version. You can buy it you wont be dissapointed
