Ho cercato di rispondere a queste domande durante la trasmissione mattutina "Ora 7" della tv di Stato albanese RTSh.

Pergezime Arber, shume pune fisnike!
one day I will bring you to my Arbershe settlement in the Appenine mountains.. near Borgo Val Di Taro / Pontremoli. on the Emilia Romagna border with Toscana.. MY FAMILY CREATED THEIR OWN SETTLEMNT THERE AFTER UNIFICATION with the help of the diocese of Parma and Pontolo.. who owned those lands. so you see there are even still more Arbereshe settlements north of Firenza... the Arbereshe history is not juts about the villages in the south ,, its much more complicated than that.

you have touched on a few points .. I agree with all of what you said.. but the problems are even bigger than that..regarding the Arbereshe, first of all at least half of the original Arbereshe which landed on the Italian shores through the centuries have been italianised, another half or more have emigrated, Australia, the Americas Europe etc..the 50 villages or so that have remained, are what is left of a thriving community. but through the centuries these communities have withered , many problems exist like you said , globalism, and the fact that the Arbereshe have nothing much to connect them to the Motherland Albania. end of the day we are not Albanians as you are, we are Albanian but on the other hand we are also Italian.. on top of that we the Arbereshe have toiled the land in Italy for 500 years or more, we have fought for the unity of this country, (participation of the Arbereshe in Garibaldis unification of Italy 1862 etc), we created the history for this new nation of ours, through blood , sweat and tears. many battles we have fought in our new homeland. we are part of the make up of Italy and its history, especially the south. Yes, we are ethnic Albanians, that's true, but it is more complicated than that, we left Albanian territories , Peloponnese, Epirus, a long time ago,. there is no turning back. our Blood and temperament are the same, but I dont know about the rest.!

@@namesurname8652 Arbereshe villages in Italy are only around 30% of the original Arbereshe population. most have left or have been italianised. and even those who remain will never be Albanians like in Albania.! we are Italians . with Albanian heritage. end of story.. thats my point . forget about trying to connect us . its a lost cause.
things first of all an Arberesh who thinks in the way you do, doesn't keep a double headed eagle in his profile. I'm sure you're some Greek or Serb who tries to put division.
We in Albania are not all the same too.
With Arberesh we like to see what connects us not what separates us.
If you feel Italian, good for you. You won't be missed.
@@namesurname8652 Thats the problem I dont feel Italian ,, I,m trying to connect To Albania. but I dont know Albania, thats why like in this video I understand the problems we face in Italy after being seperated for 600 years .. I ,m just being realistic and pragmatic. Ia,m pro Albanian, but I suppose its my kind of Albania, the mentality, the temperament, keeping our word, honour , all those things which we have, its the other customs which are new to me..and I find it hard to connec to. but the double headed eagle suits me perfectly. I,m worthy of it , I can prove it to you and all the world anytime anywhere any place.. that no one can take that away from me..its in my veins. no one has any chance, because my blood can not be compromised. the point I, m trying to make is something else. dont get too emotional here.

Trovo ridicolo che gli odierni Arbereshe italiani debbano giustificarsi con qualche albanese d'oggi (pochi per fortuna) che li accusano di non sapere l'albanese moderno, o di non essere un vero albanese (!). Sarebbe come vedere un Arbereshe che contesta ad un albanese d'oggi d'essere musulmano, e di aver perso l'antica fede cristiana albanese... si tratta quindi di grosse sciocchezze, non di argomenti di cui discutere.
La lingua Arbereshe sarà anche un vecchio dialetto albanese del 1400, ma ha conservato l'antica purezza lessicale che l'odierno albanese ha in parte perso, perché come tutte le lingue s'evolve, come l'italiano. Quindi qual è l'albanese più vero? Ecco un'altra domanda sciocca!
Vorrei ricordare a quei (spero pochi) albanesi che contestano parte della cultura o della lingua Arbereshe di riflettere sulle diversità dei popoli, e sulle ragioni religiose della diaspora Arbereshe, e per questo rispettarli per quello che sono oggi... Ossia italiani di cultura Arbereshe, lontani dalla patria albanese da quasi 600 anni, ed esclusivamente di religione cattolica di rito greco-bizantino. La loro cultura albanese dell'epoca si è legata all'Italia, e in quasi 600 anni accadono tantissime cose, come l'evoluzione della lingua albanese che ora non comprende perfettamente l'arbereshe. Ovviamente, aggiungo io.
hai toccato alcuni punti .. concordo con tutto quello che hai detto .. ma i problemi sono ancora più grandi di quello .. per quanto riguarda le Arbereshe, prima di tutto almeno la metà delle Arbereshe originali sbarcate sulle coste italiane attraverso i secoli sono state italianizzate, un'altra metà o più sono emigrate, l'Australia, le Americhe, l'Europa ecc. i 50 villaggi rimasti, sono ciò che resta di una fiorente comunità. esistono tanti problemi come hai detto tu, il globalismo e il fatto che gli Arbereshe non abbiano nulla a collegarli alla madrepatria albanese. Alla fine della giornata non siamo albanesi come te, siamo albanesi ma d'altra parte siamo anche italiani ..questo e il problema. inoltre noi Arbereshe abbiamo faticato la terra in Italia per 500 anni o più, abbiamo combattuto per l'unità di questo paese, (partecipazione degli Arbereshe all'Unità d'Italia 1862 Garibaldis ecc), abbiamo creato la storia per questo nuovo Nazione nostra, attraverso il sangue, il sudore e le lacrime, facciamo parte del make up dell'Italia e della sua storia, soprattutto del sud. sì, siamo di etnia albanese, ma è più complicato di quest abbiamo lasciato albania, peloponneso, epiro .molto tempo fa`, . non si torna indietro

@@nikkilindstrom4539 brava,bisogna tenere viva la tradizione,la lingua ecc.che sono meravigliosi.Mi auguro che tutti gli Arberesht imparino la nostra(anche loro)bellissima lingua e tradizioni.Mi raccomando,insegna(insegnate)caro arberesh,la lingua albanese ai figli ed ai figli dei figli,perche il sangue non è acqua.

@@jeandellagjianni3548 la cosa piu bella che un fratello Arberesh puo fare,è sapere la lingua d'origine.Quindi se non lo sai,impara l'Albanese,e tramandalo ai figli dei figli.L'Albania dovrebbe essere piu partecipe nella vita degli Arberesh in Italia,speriamo in un futuro florido per tutti gli Albanesi(Shqiptart,arberesht,Çam ecc..).
@@shqipekuqezi9040 no parlo Albanese, neanche l,italiano lo parlo bene, solo dialetto, la mia famiglia e emigrata dal.italia nei anni 50, non mi interessa di parlare la lingua albanese, solo se mi trasferisco il Albania mi sara`utile, parlo o non parlo , non cambia niente per me. io sono chi sono, e saro`sempre quello chi sono, uguale che lingua parlo.parla te L,albanese a me per adesso non mi serve. saluti e stammi bene.
