I've ran across tubular capacitors that read "Philco" or "Zenith", though I wasn't aware they were "made inhouse". I figured someone else made them and Philco or Zenith just stuck their name on them. Same as tubes.
I have a load of un-used, solder-free, resistors, capacitors, rectifiers, wire-wound resistors- are these worth money? I'd gladly trade them for diodes, whatever, or sell them.ive made 3 crystal radios, 3 power supplies, have loads of wire for my crystal radio coils, and am working on a 3- or 4-coil crystal radio. any tips on/for crystal radios, coils? I have a lot of components from radio/ clock radio/ stereo/ computer scrapping. the radio shack is gone forever, and scrapping is the way for components.
Extremely helpful. I just started collecting antique radios to restore. This makes "connecting the dots" easier. Keep these videos coming. Great job!
Resistors with silver band is 10 % and gold band is 5%. Nice video , well done.

Excellent video. Thank you
resistors tolerance......no band, 20%......silver band, 10%....gold band, 5% basic.
