As the years went by, not even Geddy could match the accuracy of that over the top studio vocal on this song as good as she does here. This is a rare and high quality recording of something that among other things proves that it can be done. She did it. For that reason alone, it is a masterpiece performance.
I just can't stop listening to this cover.... Amazing!!! Mike on the drums is so fluid with his playing, it looks and sounds effortless. Patty just NAILS it.
Patty is nailing it! Tall order filling Rocky's shoes, and she does it with flying colors. Even has more grit in her voice, like Geddy. Well done, Patty! Now, the question is...can she talk after a show? ;-)
I’m so excited about the future of this band! I hope Patty becomes a permanent member and you produce more original songs with her leading the way on vocals. She gets better every time I hear her sing!
Whole band is great. Patty is the best Rush tribute singer to date. Her 'gruff' is natural pitch is perfect and as a guitarist & bassist too, she's a great musician and songwriter herself. Thanks for giving new life to old Rush songs. Anyone who saw Rush's last video knows Geddy's voice was very off. He struggled almost every songs But Patty @age 26.. has that youthful talent Rush had in their youth. Great Job YYNOT, & yes your last singer was very good too.
So bad ass!!! This girl nails it to a tee!!! Sounds like Geddy!! I'm blown away!! The first Rush cover band that "actually" sound like RUSH! 🤘👏😎👍🙌😍❤️❤️
Wow. I’ve been a Rush head since the early 70’s and have seen many, many tribute bands but this has to be the best. I always close my eyes and imagine it’s the guys and I’m always disappointed. Not this time. The timing was great and then the voice. OMG. She is incredibly talented with just the right inflection. I hope they go far. Congratulations 🎉🎊
I'm just astounded by the work Patty put into doing the shows. What a pro. This wouldn't have worked had she not taken great care in getting the songs right. BRAVO, Patty!
Comment more for the YYNOT folks than the community if they read this....Rush cover bands make me cringe. Not because of different musicianship approaches to playing but because of men trying to sing like Geddy. Last week was first time I heard Patty's voice and I LOVE her gritty screams on all of the older Rush stuff. Her voice sets you far and above any other cover band or bands putting together original tunes. I had a "wow" moment with her voice. She reminds me a little of Dalbello's vocal approach from Alex' Start Today song. Rocky (albeit fantastic voice) is perfect for newer Rush material and especially your originals. Speaking of which would love to see you add in some of the "newer" material to your live setlist; The Analog Kid, Earthshine, Ghost of A Chance (maybe TH-cam video for this one), and definitely Headlong Flight. Great job to YYNOT! Keep it up! Really enjoy your videos! Hope to see more of Patty with you guys.
I hope someone strings the entire Coach House show into one long concert, I think I have seen all of them on YT so far and this was an epic show, this clicked.
And this friends, is why Geddy Lee was such a badass vocalist in the 1970's,...........it takes a woman with strong vocals just to come close to Geddy's vocal register......well done, Patty Pershayla. Any chance YYNOT is coming to North Carolina in the near future??
Holy crap that was fantastic. Rocky is a great vocalist but I think Patty may be even better. Her vocal was pitch perfect and she has an edgy stage presence that really suits the music. Looking forward to hearing more!
GREAT MIX! Big difference from earlier. So nice to hear Patty coming through better. You guys get FULL SHRED kudos too! Patty's little hops and dancing are icing on a cake of sweet vocals and her smile lights up the room like lit candles!
Patty = Greatness....Mind Blown! Tim's bass tone matches Geddy's, Billy's playing is Spot on with Lerxt's tone, and Mike's playing is note for note Pratt. You guys are a gifted and amazing! Every time I hear you all you its like I am hearing the original recording but with an update to the songs! Keep up the great work and I hope to one day see you in Texas at some point!
these ppl were made to sing Rush wow does not say enough about how good I feel they have the sound of them sooooooooooo damm good Keep at it please you all rock
I just started watching and listening to there Rush covers and I absolutely love them. I’m 62 years old and a 40 year plus Rush fan and this young lady sounds like she could be Getty Lees little sister!!! She does an amazing job with the lyrics and actually knows the words. The band does a great job as well, although Neil is the reason I started playing drums and I think he’s the greatest drummer of all time!
So, I found this band less than a month ago. I think. Time is lost. My mind warped. Anyway- found these folks recently. I am a RUSH nut- but not to rabid RUSH fans. I am 'of an age' where they were insanely important to me from say Fly By Night through Moving Pictures. The next decade was fine too, but from there I just faded away. In that context, I still count RUSH as one of my all time favorite bands and their music is ingrained in my mind with vigor. I have friends- three brothers- who happen to play bass, guitar, and drums- that learned every note of every tune from the era aforementioned. While each of them can sing, none ever really tackled Geddy's work. So they have mesmerized me for decades really nailing the instrumentals. They really are amazing. So- this is in no way a criticism of the gents here- they are all astounding. Truly. NAIL it. BUT- Patty's interpretation of Geddy's vocals and Neil's lyrics just shatter my brain. After finding the videos from this performance, I went and found as much YYNOT and Patty as I could. Before joining forces, these are all great artists, but this collaboration is seriously too good. I know nobody is still reading. I'm just finishing my thoughts for myself at this point. But I am SO glad these people found each other, and that I found them. Wow. A side-note for anyone who has read this far- I think Patty exposed a crush on Geddy I never knew I had. I'm straight. And old. And silly. But good LORD, does she bring it.
Too much is made of Neil's thankfully brief dalliance with Objectivism. I understand why he glommed onto it as an alienated, introverted youngster. But the philosophy is still a bunch of bullshit that jagoffs like Rand Paul like to espouse to prop up their basically self-centered twist on libertarian ideology. The song kicks ass, though.
@@garmisra7841 Why gravitate to objectivism when alienated? Is the Jungian duality state at play during that time as well with the sense of being present in a crowd yet all alone? So even though I am an old guy, I still much prefer everybody getting on their feet!

Did Patty grow up singing Rush? She has every inflection, every nuance....just floored.
Actually yes, she came up fronting small Rush tributes
She is really good on this one.
No geddy was really a woman all along ?
Yea she really nails the vocals!

10/10 Only Rush back in the 70's can do better .
Easily the best Rush tribute I've ever heard. Vocals are KILLER. Tones are spot on.
Fun as hell. Good job!
best I've EVER heard,,,,,,she nails it
Just perfect!
Awesome!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Bass is amazing! Would love to learn the bass set up, and which pups.
I agree with you, I've never seen in my life a band as badass as this doing the Tribute to Rush.
If I argued with you that would make me a complete IDIOT so I HAVE TO AGREE 1000%
Flawless musically, and as for the vocals... she sounds as good or better than Geddy circa 1976! I'm blown away by this cover!
My God!, Did Patty grow up all of her life listening to Geddy!!? She nails it! Every inflection! Fantastic!!
She named her childhood pet dog Geddy Lee
Wow. Patty is incredible!
Wish I could "like" twice!
I just can't stop listening to this cover.... Amazing!!! Mike on the drums is so fluid with his playing, it looks and sounds effortless. Patty just NAILS it.

Sitting at a table, front of the stage, beer in hand, listening to the music of the greatest rock band!!
Is this heaven?
This is about as close to Rush as I've ever heard a cover band sound, phenomenal job!
Badass! Very tight rhythm section. The drummer should tour with Geddy and Alex!

This is refreshing to see. You are honoring Rush by sounding like Rush instead of dressing up like Rush for Halloween like most other tribute bands
The people in the front row are some very lucky people

Wow. I wasn't expecting much when I clicked on the video but, if I closed my eyes, I thought it was actually Rush Live.
