I am a psych major and thankfully it’s nothing like this for me. Just be a good student and you’ll be fine, choose a major you’re passionate about so that you enjoy what you’re learning.
@@chelseabhatia yes, I had to take a statistics course. I took ap stats in high school but didn’t do the exam for some reason and ended up taking it again in college. It’s honestly my favorite kind of math, it’s very different from other types. Even if you’re not a math person, statistics is an entirely different way of thinking about the world, it involves a lot of writing and interpreting results. I found that since it’s easily relatable to the real world I had an easier time with it than with other types that just feels like math for the sake of math.

@@kanakrandheer of course mate, my number one piece of advice would be, do your papers and exams first thing. You can have time to do everything else later but you need to prioritise your lessons first. #2 would be to look around campus before your first day, it’s the absolute worst thing when you try to find your classes so I’d have a little tour of the place first. #3, be prepared for your professors to be extremely chill or super strict. Once you figure that out, you’re pretty much set. At the end of the day mate, just make sure you’re doing something you enjoy, not what’s expected of you.
Psychology is an extremely wide, I am in my first year and we have 9 subjects. social, personality, history,developmental, researching methods, cognitive, media, biology and illneses.
