Jews weren't expelled entirely by the Romans. Jews still maintained a huge presence and majority until at least the 700s when the Ummmayad empire took control of Israel.
My best offer to you regarding Zionism, Jews, and the Palestinians. You should start with the Palestinians' treaty regarding the State of Israel. This will shock you!!
The Arab is also political everything is political Muslim brother hotel a far right political movements they hate everybody how is not Muslim they want to bring back the caliphate and sharia .
id say it was very nice! but i also critisize your opinions about the current conflict.. like.. get educated about the topic.. im not saying whatever is happening is ok or alright but you should really reconsider your standings on it especially as jews... thats it. much love
It’s hard to notice antisemitism on campus if you are not Jewish because it’s not targeted towards you. As a Jewish student I have so many stories, the situation is very bad.
What about us jews descendent from refugees from MENA countries... My grandparents were Iraqi jews... a 2500 year old jewish community that no longer exists... Had to leave with nothing...Some of us didn't have a choice.
Yeah, because mossad did multiple 💣 in Iraq to make the local Jewish population believe they weren't welcome and flee to Israel. The Iraqi government didn't want them to go.
You may find that Mossad had a fair bit to do with driving Jews from surrounding Arab countries. Demographic domination has always been the aim of Zionists....the early Zionist knew that, and did all they could to fill the Palestinian lands with Jews ...
@@adiz8472 Then you move to a country based upon equality, freedom of religious expression, democracy and liberty. You do not expel the people in habitation and create an ethno-theocracy which discriminates against all except the 'chosen'. Or you remain and fight the righteous fight for your rights to remain in a territory which has been your ancestral home for 2500 years. Nothing about your past or aspirations gives you the right to expel and subjugate the Palestinians. Nothing.
No Zevi, the British in the 1930s under the Peel Commission offered the Arabs a country on over the 80% of the land with only a small sliver for the Jews. The Jews accepted the plan and the Arabs said no. The 1947 Partition Plan came later and was presented by the UN and not British "colonialists". The British abstained from that vote and had already been siding with the Arabs since the 1930s. But the Arabs had already rejected the Peel Commission compromise in which they would ha gotten most of the land. The entire history of Jews and Palestinians has been one of Palestinian rejectionism because they do not want the existence of a Jewish state.
The Peel Commission was still giving away land which was predominantly inhabited by Arabs. Is it so strange that a people living their life should surrender 20 percent of their land to people who lived on other continents?? There is a self-serving delusion here that a people would hand over 20 percent of their land mass to people from a separate continent. Why do you present this bizarre third party theft of land as an attractive proposition for the people living and farming these lands? Only to serve your own entitled view.....
@@izzykhach . So you are suggesting that a country should accept 20 percent of their most fertile, coastal land being stripped away to be given to colonists from primarily Europe who would use this as a launching pad to seize more? Ridiculous and self-serving argument to suggest that this was a 'fair deal'. It was, and is, an imposition upon the inhabitants of the land. It was said by a senior Zionist at the time that they could accept a parcel of land the size of a tablecloth, because it would be the point from where they would seize the rest of Palestine.
Such a beautiful and uplifting conversation, always a bit discouraging to see what some people (bots?) in the comments have to say and the likes that said comments get. With that aside I really appreciate you guys posting this, put a massive smile on my face!
As an Israeli I was deeply disappionted by the ignorance, I axpected more knowlege from jewish people. Modern zionism is a secular movement, all it is is the right for jewish people to have a land in their ancestors land. Almost half of the people of Israel are left wing liberals who wants the 2 state solution, and don't hate Palestinians, all we want from them is to recognize the exsistance of Israel and stop using terror and wars to kick us out, we have no where else to go!!, I am 3rd ganoration in Jerusalem, my grandparents had to leave Iraq because they were persecuted, finally we have a home where we feel safe and not at mercy of others, yet people are trying to ruin the legitamacy of Israel by spreding lies about what zionism is. It is not colonialism, ethnic clensing and all of that, it is our right to continue to live in the land along side the Palestinians who allways refues to accept our long connection to the land too.
According to polls only 26 percent believe in two states, and it will only go down as the two sides become more extreme. You are openly lying. The fact it is a secular movement proves that it didn't originally had to do anything with creating a jewish state but to be a European colony for Ashkenazi jews alienated from their identity. It's not the fault of Jews but mainly of the british that created the conditions for it.
Zionism is an umbrella term for all Jewish nationalist ideologies centered around the land of Israel, it is neither secular nor religious it has secular or religious branches.
While the other half of israelis are genocidal maniacs that want a greater israel and are ok with stealing more land for their colonial project. You are all guilty.
Are you all open to a discussion on the definition of Zionism? I get that there’s a personal experience/relationship to Zionism, but I think you missed the mark on how Zionism is represented. Love what you all do and have learned so much from you. Would love the opportunity to discuss this further with you both, achim.
You would hopefully agree that it sounds silly when someone says “I’m an egalitarian. I’m not a feminist because I don’t believe in female supremacy.” It’s silly because that isn’t what feminism is. It’s the belief in equality for people of any gender. We know this because feminist organizations consistently define feminism as such. It’s true that misogynists often “define” feminism as female supremacy, but that’s simply incorrect, and it’s not them who defines feminism. It’s true that anti-Zionists often “define” zionism as an ideology of racial supremacy and violence for an imperial settler colonial theocratic ethnostate (or some combination of those words). But that’s simply incorrect, and it’s not them who defines zionism. You’ll see zionist organizations consistently define zionism as the Jewish right to self-determination in the Jewish ancestral homeland. It’s the recognition of indigenous rights. That is the consistent definition, no matter what anti-zionists (or misogynists) say. Propaganda thrives of loose definitions, so do not overlook this or brush this aside. My values are pro-indigenous and anti-imperial. I can’t be against indigenous self-determination or support a pan-Arab middle east that reestablishes the caliphate as that directly contradicts my central values. Sincerely, someone who used to say “I’m anti-zionist because I don’t support displacement” because I assumed an incorrect definition of zionism. My values haven’t changed, I’m still against displacement, violence, and imperialism. I know a shitload more history than I did back then. And it turns out I was never actually anti-zionist, since I always believed that all people (especially indigenous people) have the right to self-determination. Yes, including Jews. 💛

The first guy doesn't know what Zionism is. Zion is another word for Jerusalem/Israel, When the Roman empire conquered Israel, and expelled most of the Jews from there homeland, the longing for home was expressed by going back to Zion. Zionism means that Jews have a right to live in Israel it's there homeland, and there's archeology to prove it. It doesn't mean that Jews won't let others live in Israel. It never meant that. And Zionism was before the British empire.
Even the Quran has a copy pasted verses that God gave the land to the Israelites Btw Arabs have technically no religious claim to the land Al auqsa in Jerusalem was built after Mohammed died and that's one of the reasons Jerusalem isn't mentioned a single time in the Quran Btw someone who actually followes Islamic scholars and their scripture would understand that even the definition of Al aqusa (silver dome ) is actually in suadia Arabia
Why don't universities in the West teach their students about Arab-Islamic Colonialism? * Bloody conquests and wars were waged * Hostages were taken as slaves * Sharia law was imposed on non-Muslims * Arabic was enforced Most Muslim schools teach all this with pride. (Luai Ahmed)
That was when? During the dark ages of extermination and conquest? This is your elementary school reasoning for indulging in extermination and conquest in the 21st century? My heart bleeds for the Arabs who were so unfortunate to exist on the land gifted to the Zionists.
What kind of BS talk is this? Have you been to universities or schools that are Arabic or Islamic? Of course not, due to the false remarks you say! I have never ever been taught about sharia law, never been taught that Jews are bad! Man educate yourself, Muslim and Arabic schools never teach this! Have you looked at the Quran before? Of course not, the Quran never ever mentioned killing Jews or hating Jews or anything about violence for Jews! The Quran even allows Muslims marriage to Christians and Jews because they are people of the book Muslim Christian and Jewish. Dude educate yourself!

Zionism: The Rebirth of a Nation A continuous Jewish presence in Israel for over 3,000 years. 1. Zion is an age-old name for Jerusalem and the land of Israel. Zionism is the national liberation movement of the Jewish people who sought to restore their freedom and independence in their ancestral homeland. 2. Theodore Herzl founded morden Zionist movement in 1897, but the dream of restoration and return had always been at the core of Judaism and Jewish identity. Roma tried to obliterate the millenna-old Jewish state in the first century. But unlike other nations conquered in ancient times, the Jews survived and never lost their profound attachment to their land of origin. Jews lived in the land of Israel continuously for 3,000 years. Those forced into exile expressed their yearning to return in their daily liturgy and prayers. For 2,000 years, many came back in periodic waves of immigration. By the late 1860s. Jews once again were the mijority in Jerusalem. 3. Zionists adapted this historic dream to modern political ideals and circumstances. They were inspired by national liberation movements and driven by ongoing anti-Jewish persecution and discrimination that occurred even in progressive Europe. The Zionists believed that if tge scatted Jews reunited in their historic homeland, joining the Jews who were already there, they could restore their freedom, be free prejudice and further develop their unique culture. 4. Disagreements arose among Zionists as Jews from different countries and with different ideologies - religious and scular, socialist and conservative - joined toghter. But they united around fundamental principles that combined idealism and practicality. They would seek official support from other national govermments. They wwould return legally, purchase the land and restore it through their own labor. Zionists envisioned living in friendship with non-Jewish residents and believed the entire region would benefit from their restoration of the land. 5. Within 50 years, the Zionist dream became a reality. Britain recognized the thrivibg communities Jews had built and in the 1917 Balfour Declaration, endorsed the "Zionist aspirations". In 1920, the League of Nations reinforced this commitment and carved out the Palestine Mandate from the defeated Ottoman Empire for the Jewish homeland. 6. On May 14, 1948, Israel was reestablushed as a modern state and recognized by the community of nations. It lived up to the Zionist dream. Israel began with a Jewish majority that had purchased and settled the land and accorded full civil, political and cultural rights to all its minorities, including Arabs, Muslims and Christians. Today Jewish and non-Jewish Zionists arpund the world support the State of Israel and hope to see the full Zionist vision realized - a safe and thriving Israel living at peace with it neighbors. 🇮🇱💙
Facts about Israel that the haters of Israel don’t like: 👇 *1.* Israel became a state in 1312 B.C.E., two millennia before Islam. *2.* Arab refugees from Israel began calling themselves “Palestinians” in 1964, almost two decades after (modern) Israeli statehood in 1948. *3.* After conquering the land in 1272 B.C.E., Jews ruled it for a thousand years and maintained a continuous presence there for 3,300 years. *4.* The only Arab rule following conquest in 633 B.C.E. lasted just 22 years. *5.* For over 3,300 years, Jerusalem was the Jewish capital. It was never the capital of any Arab or Muslim entity. Even under Jordanian rule, (East) Jerusalem was not made the capital, and no Arab leader came to visit it. *6.* Jerusalem is mentioned over 700 times in the bible, but not once is it mentioned in the Qur’an. *7.* King David founded Jerusalem; Mohammed never set foot in it. *8.* Jews pray facing Jerusalem; Muslims face Mecca. If they are between the two cities, Muslims pray facing Mecca, with their backs to Jerusalem. *9.* In 1948, Arab leaders urged their people to leave, promising to cleanse the land of Jewish presence. 68% of them fled without ever setting eyes on an Israeli soldier. *10.* Virtually the entire Jewish population of Muslim countries had to flee as the result of violence and pogroms. *11.* Some 630,000 Arabs left Israel in 1948, while close to a million Jews were forced to leave the Muslim countries. *12.* In spite of the vast territories at their disposal, Arab refugees were deliberately prevented from assimilating into their host countries. Of 100 million refugees following World War 2, they are the only group tohave never integrated with their co-religionists. Most of the Jewish refugees from Europe and Arab lands were settled in Israel,a country no larger than New Jersey, USA. *13.* There are 58 Muslim countries, not counting Palestine. There is only one Jewish state. *14.* Fatah and Hamas constitutions still call for the destruction of Israel. Israel ceded most of the west bank and all of Gaza to the Palestinian authority, and even provided it with arms. *15.* During the Jordanian occupation, Jewish holy sites were vandalized and were off limits to Jews. Under Israeli rule, all Muslim and Christian holy sites are accessible to all faiths. *16.* Out of 175 United Nations Security Council resolutions up to 1990, 97 were against Israel; out of 690 general assembly resolutions, 429 were against Israel. *17.* The U.N. was silent when the Jordanians destroyed 58 synagogues in the old city of Jerusalem. It remained silent while Jordan systematically desecrated the ancient Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives, and it remained silent when Jordan enforced apartheid laws preventing Jews from accessing the temple mount and western wall. *18.* Arabs started all five wars against Israel, and lost every one of them.

And if I, as a representative of the monolith of establishment set thinking, can be moved by a little unity, perhaps a lot of Unity could move a lot more of the Establishment towards where it should be. YOU blokes need to form an ecumenical forum so more Union can be realised. Step forward with care. Teach, don't preach. Your world now.
You claimed that Israelis don't see gazans as humans but you forget to mention that Israel are the ones that contribute food, fuel and so on to Gazans while still fighting terrorists. There are a bunch of videos showing supply trucks moving from Israel to Gaza to supply the Gazans with food and fuel.
There's a difference between the actions of the government and the views of the people. This is a sentence usually said to defend against antisemitic generalization, but I think it's relevant the other way around too. The government could be doing everything for Gazans but the people under said government could still view them as inferior or inherently dangerous. It's an unfortunate side-effect of living under constant hostility, many people in Israel only know of Gaza as "that place where rockets and terrorists come from", so they're not able to conceptualize that there are people just like them living there.

That guy said he doesn't believe the US or Israel should exist, fine. Did he ever protest against the existence of the US? I doubt it. He has some anti semitic leanings whether he would like to admit it or not.
Also, what does he mean by "not exist"? Is he just saying that the political entity/rulership should change? Because to me it sounds at first like he's saying everyone apart from indigenous people should leave, but that would be a crazy position to take.
I'm watching this conversation right now, and what a good and respectful dialog they are having, hopefully they do more conversations on various topics in the future. One question that comes to mind that I would be interested to know is what they know about Muslims and Islam. one simple task that the world needs to do is learn about their neighbors and then we will be closer to having love and respect for all and hatred for none. That is truly the essence of life. :)
Note sure I understand when you say Jewish and Palestinians could live together isn't proper Israel 20% population of Palestinians with equal rights? so they actually live together in a democratic country right?.
Conversations like these, and others always seem to forget the fact that Palestinians have been offered their own state multiple times. Israel agreed to each and it was 'brokered' through other countries as well. The Palestinians turned down the offers each and every time. Also, 1948-67, there was a three state solution (Jordan/Egypt/Israel) until Israel had to defend in 1967. Then gaza / WB were ceded to Israel. You *need* to understand the history. The Palestinian 'statehood' movement began in 1964, by an egyptian, 16 years after Israel was re-constituted.
There was literally zero offers 😂 you wouldn't be able to bring up the documents of those offers because it never existed. And Palestinians have no reason to share land with invaders, that's insane. That's their indigenous land where they have been living there for thousands of years, way before the biblical times. They are the descendants of Canaanites and Israelites that never left while you are the descendant of the Edomites and Judeans that God cursed.
And their initial 1964 statehood document explicitly ceded Gaza to their Arab Egyptian brothers, and the West Bank to their Jordanian Arab brothers. The PLO was only focused on conquering and destroying Israel, after which its independence was not so important, as long as all the land was in the hands of Arabs.
@@ngreenwald89do you think that if the PLO accepted the plans to leave 70% of the land to Jewish colonizers and refugees while their own share of the land was being torn apart and governed by other neighboring countries, they would now be considered "independent"?
The Palestinians sought independence from britain. I don't care about the specifics of which formal movement started when, by whom, or what their leaders' nationalities were, because nationality doesn't equal ethnicity. The fact remains: people under the British Mandate of Palestine [decades before israel existed] demanded self-agency, autonomy, their LAND back and the departure of their white colonizers. To think otherwise [that is that people were happy or nonchalant under occupation and that the british colonizers were peace doves agreeing to give anyone their land as is without consequences] is foolish and naive. Britain partitioned their land as they did with India and Pakistan, and France with Lebanon, strategically believing the issue would resolve itself. And the palestinians didn't want to compromise. The same way u wouldn't if u were in their place. The same way probably dont want israelis to compromise anything right now.. And let me be clear, I am jewish. I believe Jewish refugees back then deserved homes and dignified treatment. However, the way "Zionism" came to be is evil and corrupt.. I myself, don't disageee with zionism in itself as a concept. But the way it carried out is colonization and a continuation of an imperialist history, under disguise, now taking advantage of european guilt and jewish trauma and the rising movement of pan-Arabism. it was Strategy... and we got fed that propaganda and we repeat it over and over. But Israel didn't shy away from being an aspiring colonizing power when it was in fashion, think at the time, Australia, canada, etc.. colonies, europe x africa .. great colonial powerrs x poor colonized countries.. so this narrative that the way it carried out isn't colonization and mass displacement is relatively new. And is also a PR strategy. AND even if.. YES !! A nation has the right to self-defense, BUT Israel's actions in 1964 were not defensive. The Suez Crisis and the titular aggression on Egypt are well-documented . Britain and France used Israel as a tool for their imperial ambitions. and Israeli forces, backed by the USA, UK, and France, occupied the remaining parts of Palestine, Egypt, Lebanon, and Syria. Some of these territories remain occupied today [golan heights in syria, why the heck does israel has a piece of syria til now???? come on]. This is not "defense", just as the killing of thousands of innocent people happening right now is not. The issue lies in how the complicit parties frame and rewrite history. Without social media, whats happening right now could have been passed to the next generation as another case of Israeli "defense." [google, please, and read, and have an open mind, and address the way we are biased to believe cerain things :)]

Politicians feed on conflict. People feed on politicians. The media feed both. The problem is misinformation. The real problem, though, is human idiocy. Put simply, human idiocy is nationalism. With nationalism comes borders, physical and perceptual, and these two lead to prejudice and discrimination, which in turn feed politicians who feed the media which feeds people who start to think that they are right, and start to hate.

Israel is not just a homeland, but a holy land for the Jews. It is their biblical homeland. The Arabs would never allow any other people to inhabit, let alone rule the area that Mecca is in.
Israel is not the homeland of Jews lol the biblical Israel has nothing to do with the state of Israel of today 😂 in fact Jew in the biblical times meant those from Judea, there was a big difference between Israelites and Judeans. Seems like you need to learn your own history. The Children of God are now Christians because we accepted his Son as our savior.
@@carlosm.3426 Those that curse Israel shall be cursed, and those that bless Israel shall be blessed. True born again Christians who know their bible will know that the God of Israel calls for Gentile believers to pray for him to fulfil his promises to his Covenant people the remnant of Israel (Romans 11, Jeremiah 31:7, Isiah 40:1). Now is the time that God is going to arise and show mercy upon Zion for the set time is come (Psalm 102:13). If you believe that God will break his covenant that he made with Abraham! to give him and his descendants through Isaac and Jacob the land of Israel as a possession forever then you do not understand the faithfulness of God. Israel is God's firstborn son. Jesus Christ is Jewish and he will reign over the house of Jacob from Jerusalem forever. Jesus says to the woman at the well in Samaria that 'salvation is of the Jews.' What this means is that without the Jewish people there would be no patriarchs, no prophets, no bible and no Saviour. Through the unbelief of the Jews, mercy was shown to the Gentile nations and God requires Gentile believers to now show mercy on his chosen heritage Israel.
As a Jew who was born and lives in the south of Israel, especially after the seventh of October, it is a bit difficult for me to agree with you... After thousands of people breach the wall and kill 1500 Jews for fun and send recordings to their mothers in Gaza happy, And when in the streets of Gaza sweets are handed out for the terrible murder, then yes I am in favor of eliminating Hamas. We (Israel) left the Gaza Strip in 2005 to allow the Gazans to build a better life for themselves, despite the separation we continued to transfer hundreds of millions of dollars and give tens of thousands of jobs to the Gazans so that they could live a better life What many people in the world don't understand is that with all the money going to construction and reconstruction, Gaza would have been more successful than Israel, but the money went to the terrorist people who built tunnels wherever possible, under schools, mosques, hospitals and more And all this just so that when the moment comes they will attack (as happened on October 7) So Israel will have no choice and they will have to bomb these places to eliminate terrorism, I agreed with how you described the idea of Judaism but to say that nowadays people use it to kill people is not true, we in Israel want peace and that's why we left in 2005 but who are murdering 1500 residents We have to fight back, we don't want to hurt civilians but it's not us who are hurting, today we hear a lot in the media about Israel killing innocents But we are not the ones who built the tunnels in public places in the first place and who bridge rockets from public places So what do you expect from us not to react and see our children die who throw a one year old into the oven or shoot the mother in the head and force the child to watch before murdering him as well We are trying to reduce casualties as much as possible compared to Hamas which prevents its people from going to the safe places Over the years Israel gave the option 5 times to establish a Palestinian state and each time they said no because they do not believe that Israel deserves a state. What is happening today in Gaza is both Zionism and Judaism. We want to give our child a place to call home but it is not possible if you are murdered so we come to kill the terrorists but that too cannot be done because they are hiding inside a civilian community so during the last 20 years we stopped every time they fired rockets because we did not want to harm civilians But that it comes to the murder of 1500 Jews is no longer possible You talk about a ceasefire but you can't make a break as long as Hamas exists because then maybe not now but in 20 years everything will repeat itself again And we are not ready for that.
I liked the last video you did like this, but this one seems like you are explaining Zionism in a weak way to get people to like you. And let's not talk at all about Islamic colonization...
Colonialism and Imperialism are completely different enterprises. Recall that it was in the Islamic Imperium that Jews took refuge in (from Andalusia to Constantinople), flourished, composed works of great genius, etc.
@@ozzy7912 Not all empires are created equal… and I am no apologist for imperialism… the center obviously flourishes, even at the cost of the periphery… but the racist, genocidal legacy of colonialism, especially its European variety, is far, far worse. 1:58 stop saying colonization movement! The only colonization in history are western empires! Jews did have any support from no country when the very few of them started moving to Palestine in 1888!
..And Muslim Empires that colonized people on three continents, and the Japanese in the formation of the totality of the country, and hey how did China get so big, etc..?
Thank you guys for another great video. I've really enjoyed how you engage with people in such an open manner. A lot of people are quite angry these days, as I am sure you know, with the actions of the state of Israel, and the impunity that it enjoys because of the diplomatic cover that the US gives it. They're angry that the media narrative is lopsided in favor of Israel and that any debate is shut down. They are angry that any criticism of Israel immediately leads to the "antisemitic" accusation. They're angry about Israel and AIPAC's meddling in US politics. So I truly commend you for engaging with people... I just wish the media would have such open discussions, that there would be more intellectual honesty about antisemitism vs criticism of a foreign nation. Particularly if you are American and your tax dollars are funding that nation.

Meh this conversation regarding Zionism is missing much. Too much focus on the “ism” of Zionism being the issue rather than considering Islamism as being even more culpable. Israel isn’t all that different from the huge number of other nations created around that time. It was a time of nation building. Israel set out to establish legally. They purchased land to establish a nation. No arabs lost any land until they attacked Israel. Losing land happens when you attack your neighbors. Israel tried to help create a Palestine. The price was peace and Arabs refused. Yes it’s a shitty situation. Yes both sides share some blame. The fact of the matter is what Israel is guilty of is not sacrificing itself to save the Arabs from their self imposed strike of suffering. Israel built a state. Israel fought and won the war in 1948. The guy speaking is well spoken and well intentioned but notice he feels America as well as Israel should fall…. Israel is the greatest story of decolonization. Jesus wasn’t there as part of an occupying force. Jews history is incontestable. And when we get past the history, the fact of the matter is that it’s Israel NOW. It’s a fully functioning multicultural democracy. Wars were fought. If you are going to put Israel on a list of nations that “deserve to fall”… whatever… if you are going to ignore all the real genocides and injustices, allow the perpetrators of true genocides judge Israel while ignoring it all…. It’s clear Israel is being targeted. What truly makes Israel unique? Jews. There’s no way to destroy Israel without murdering more than half the world’s Jews. It’s time the nakba reversal fantasies to be abandoned. They are the obstacle to peace.
As to the person on the left saying the USA shouldn't exist, what should it be replaced with? a Native American state? in a land where they are the minority?
As a Jewish student on a NYC campus, I am targeted everyday and quite frankly terrified to come to school. And I am very disappointed in the ignorance this portrays. These boys probably chant “Hillel go to hell” with the rest of them and then say that they don’t see why Jewish students feel unsafe.
I have a lot of criticism towards the government of Israel but the government of Israel has nothing to do with Zionism. Zionism is the belief that the Jews deserve to have a homeland, that's about it. Whether the government's policies are ok or not that's for a different discussion. My grandparents fled from ethnic cleansing in arab countries to a forever home thanks to Zonism. Zack, no one uses Zionism to hurt someone else, it's much more complicated than that. I'll just end with the fact that now when antisemitism is increasing around the world, and many Jews look for an immigration to Israel in order to be protected, that's what Zionism is. Seriously, your answers just make me sad

They said there was no anti-Israeli sentiment on their campus whatsoever, then relate the story of a young Israeli who literally told the guy "I don't feel safe here." To which he told her she just simply shouldn't be a Zionist. It's not the algorithm that makes you think there is a problem; the people telling you there isn't a problem aren't listening to the one's who say to their faces "I am experiencing this problem."

You're all gringos for the rest of the world, and that is what you are! Jesus Christ, when are you going to stop that madness?
12:43 the biblical story is allegory, and that’s really important to know. israelites in the bible conquered canaanites. the truth is, the archaeological record shows that israelites were a subgroup of canaanites who were already living in the region. they had an internal uprising because they felt that things like human sacrifice and animal sacrifice and idolatry etc etc were not what their god wanted of them. the land was not overtaken and canaanites were not destroyed in the way the bible outlines. israelites decided to be better people, with a deeper respect for life, and a deeper respect for morality and goodness. were they perfect? no. but the story in the bible can’t be used against the jewish population in terms of “look what they did in the past” - because they didn’t do that in the past. they picked up and moved to the highlands and started a new life and called themselves israelites, those who “wrestled with god”. this is archaeologically evidenced, and also even hinted at in the bible where jacob “suddenly becomes” israel. that’s exactly what happened in real life, canaanites became israelites.
@@weisshalivniwineHow is that BS? I'm interested to know because if you study Paleo-Hebrew it's attested that language evolved from Canaanite script. Given the story of the Bible, it's plausible that it was constructed to explain a natural separation, and establishment of an Israelite state. Like how the Ausarian Myth details the constant struggle between Lower and Upper Egypt and the country's eventual union.
You are aware that genetically Palestinians are the ones who are the most similar to ancient Israelites and Canaanites and not the so called modern Jews that are not in Israel? Canaanites/Israelites all became modern day Palestinians, they have been the ones living there even before the biblical times. Some just ended up converting to Christianity through Jesus Christ and then with the rise of Islam, most became Muslim. Their DNA proves they are indigenous.
@@afcomics7184yes but modern day Hebrew has nothing to do with the Hebrew of that time. Modern day Hebrew is a recent invention by European Jws mixing Yiddish and Arabic. Modern Jws do not speak whatsoever Hebrew despite what they like to claim. Everything about them is completely fake and made up, heck, the star of David was never a Jwish symbol, the European Jws adopted that star which Muslims for example once used it as their symbol. The current Jwish identity is just a recent invention but the Bible already warned us about the fake Jws claiming to be Jw but are the synagogue of Satan.
It's hard to watch very nice thoughtful people talk about a subject that they have absolute knowledge of and one of which means so much and is so important. BTW, In hebrew it's NOT 'Thow Shall NOT Kill' ; it's 'Thow Shall Not Commit Murder'. Which is a completely different concept, which is an important difference and especially philosophical. Unfortunately thus just shows a bit of your ignorance, and it's too bad, because I believe you all mean well and it's very important to have these conversations. But it must be made on subjects that you are knowledgeable in.
Gd gave land to each nation, the land of the Jewish nation is Israel, just like India is for Indians. The British conquered India and gave it back to the Indians. The Muslims conquered Israel, lost it in a war they started with the Jews and refuse to give up what never was theirs to be taken. The conflict will end when the Palestinians accept their losses and start building a life worth living for their children.
about the israelites going into to israel and fighting people they didnt do it until the people sinned "[...] the fourth generation your descendants will come back here, for the sin of the Amorites has not yet reached its full measure." the same goes for 48
The reality is the Muslims of Israel\Palestine have massacred the Jews of that land much longer before there ever been an Israeli state so that two different cultures just doesn't get along together and it has nothing to do with any occupation... The only solution I can see is two states, but history shows one side doesn't want that... So ... That's why we are in the current horrible situation ❤
That's not sure, that's not what in Nakba happened and even before that when the Jwish terrorist group Irgun decided to kill over 90 British soldiers and injury many civilians in a hotel after they bombed it.
Regards to your point at 12:55 about using G-d as an excuse for injustice: Yes the land belongs to the Jewish people because G-d gave it to them - but the reason they have to fight is not because of that. It's because it's a Torah law that a Jew needs to defend themselves, as the talmud says 'if someone comes to kill you, rise to kill them first.' Unfortunately Israel has not conducted themselves this way as they should have, preffering to let Gaza turn into a terror stronghold right under their very noses out of fear of 'rocking the boat' and now we are paying a heavy price for exuding such weakness. Had we taken the the Torah (G-ds word) seriously, we would not be in this this position - but again, the 'religious' rationale for using force, comes down to the obligation to be proactive when it comes to self defense. It's not about grabbing land, it's about protecting lives.

Then you move to a country based upon equality, freedom of religious expression, democracy and liberty.
Well said
@@izzykhach .
Why would Palestinians want a Jewish state on their land?
yes, and they're right for it. because they knew the creation of the "jewish state" came at their expense, whether they rejected the plan or not.
❤🇮🇱
Yes. Me too
According to polls only 26 percent believe in two states, and it will only go down as the two sides become more extreme.

Sincerely,
someone who used to say “I’m anti-zionist because I don’t support displacement” because I assumed an incorrect definition of zionism.

Even the Quran has a copy pasted verses that God gave the land to the Israelites
Btw Arabs have technically no religious claim to the land
Al auqsa in Jerusalem was built after Mohammed died and that's one of the reasons Jerusalem isn't mentioned a single time in the Quran
Btw someone who actually followes Islamic scholars and their scripture would understand that even the definition of Al aqusa (silver dome ) is actually in suadia Arabia

Why don't universities in the West teach their students about Arab-Islamic Colonialism?
* Bloody conquests and wars were waged
* Hostages were taken as slaves
* Sharia law was imposed on non-Muslims
* Arabic was enforced
Most Muslim schools teach all this with pride.

This is your elementary school reasoning for indulging in extermination and conquest in the 21st century?

I have never ever been taught about sharia law, never been taught that Jews are bad! Man educate yourself, Muslim and Arabic schools never teach this! Have you looked at the Quran before? Of course not, the Quran never ever mentioned killing Jews or hating Jews or anything about violence for Jews! The Quran even allows Muslims marriage to Christians and Jews because they are people of the book Muslim Christian and Jewish. Dude educate yourself!

Zionism:
The Rebirth of a Nation
A continuous Jewish presence in Israel for over 3,000 years.

Facts about Israel that the haters of Israel don’t like: 👇
*1.* Israel became a state in 1312 B.C.E., two millennia before Islam.
That was a lot of word salad. Well done.
Lmao. To much writing. 😂😂😂

@@saskiascott8181 I think he's just parroting talking points.
Because they mostly agree on everything.
Note sure I understand when you say Jewish and Palestinians could live together isn't proper Israel 20% population of Palestinians with equal rights? so they actually live together in a democratic country right?.
Great convo, thanks for bringing these people together
@@carlosm.3426 My Zionism level went up after that comment
Without social media, whats happening right now could have been passed to the next generation as another case of Israeli "defense."
[google, please, and read, and have an open mind, and address the way we are biased to believe cerain things :)]

PEACE ON, GUYS !!

all guys in this videos are good people but each is trying to generalize everything without digging deeper to understand the conflict but eventually if they keep the curiosity they would understand better that main goal of the Jews is life

Zevi, at some point I hope you offer your thoughts on how Kabbalah can help us pan back and find the perspective inherent in the Shema.
Love this video, as an Arab with ties to Palestine as well as someone who has been keeping up very closely with the catastrophes in Gaza, it's easy for me to be radicalised and wary of Jewish people from what I see Netanyahu/Gvir/the IDF perpetrating. It's just responding to hatred with more hatred. I like to be reminded that Jewish people are not a monolith and do not always agree with the Israeli government.
Much love to you all, really important content being made here.

You're not educated about the Israel topic
Israel is not just a homeland, but a holy land for the Jews. It is their biblical homeland. The Arabs would never allow any other people to inhabit, let alone rule the area that Mecca is in.
It's also a holy land for Muslims
@@5StarHeneral Jews and Christians pre-date the Muslim holy land claim.
Well put.

I like the discussion and listening
As a Jew who was born and lives in the south of Israel, especially after the seventh of October, it is a bit difficult for me to agree with you...
After thousands of people breach the wall and kill 1500 Jews for fun and send recordings to their mothers in Gaza happy,
And when in the streets of Gaza sweets are handed out for the terrible murder, then yes I am in favor of eliminating Hamas.
We (Israel) left the Gaza Strip in 2005 to allow the Gazans to build a better life for themselves, despite the separation we continued to transfer hundreds of millions of dollars and give tens of thousands of jobs to the Gazans so that they could live a better life
What many people in the world don't understand is that with all the money going to construction and reconstruction, Gaza would have been more successful than Israel, but the money went to the terrorist people who built tunnels wherever possible, under schools, mosques, hospitals and more
And all this just so that when the moment comes they will attack (as happened on October 7)
So Israel will have no choice and they will have to bomb these places to eliminate terrorism, I agreed with how you described the idea of Judaism but to say that nowadays people use it to kill people is not true, we in Israel want peace and that's why we left in 2005 but who are murdering 1500 residents We have to fight back, we don't want to hurt civilians but it's not us who are hurting, today we hear a lot in the media about Israel killing innocents
But we are not the ones who built the tunnels in public places in the first place and who bridge rockets from public places
So what do you expect from us not to react and see our children die who throw a one year old into the oven or shoot the mother in the head and force the child to watch before murdering him as well
We are trying to reduce casualties as much as possible compared to Hamas which prevents its people from going to the safe places
Over the years Israel gave the option 5 times to establish a Palestinian state and each time they said no because they do not believe that Israel deserves a state.
What is happening today in Gaza is both Zionism and Judaism. We want to give our child a place to call home but it is not possible if you are murdered so we come to kill the terrorists but that too cannot be done because they are hiding inside a civilian community so during the last 20 years we stopped every time they fired rockets because we did not want to harm civilians But that it comes to the murder of 1500 Jews is no longer possible
You talk about a ceasefire but you can't make a break as long as Hamas exists because then maybe not now but in 20 years everything will repeat itself again
And we are not ready for that.
Ypu guys give me hope that in future there will be a country where Palestinians jews Christians druze all will live together in peace
Um
You don't need to hope. For the most part they all live together in peace in Israel.
Jews, Muslims, Christian’s and Druze: live in peace in Israel. Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us.

@@Modus07true. Imperialism is a helluva lot worse
@@ozzy7912 Not all empires are created equal… and I am no apologist for imperialism… the center obviously flourishes, even at the cost of the periphery… but the racist, genocidal legacy of colonialism, especially its European variety, is far, far worse. Compare Umayyad Andalusia to British India, or Ottoman Syria to French Algeria. It’s not even close.
1:58 stop saying colonization movement!
The only colonization in history are western empires!
Jews did have any support from no country when the very few of them started moving to Palestine in 1888!
It is a colonize movement and even your founding Zionist fathers called it that way, the colonization of Palestine 😂
..And Muslim Empires that colonized people on three continents, and the Japanese in the formation of the totality of the country, and hey how did China get so big, etc..?
Excellent. And thank you.
These sessions are incredibly important. The best way to deal with ignorance is through dialogue.
Ps. People who support Palestine completely ignore what's happening in Xinjiang.
What's the meaning of separating church and state?
To the black guy: If you don’t consider America home even your mom is American then you should find a better country you can call home. And also stop using so many words that you don’t even know what they mean and use them in the most incorrect way. Also Haitians are not persecuted anywhere in the world so it’s in no way the same.

It's actually for once heartwarming to read the comments here about the misrepresentation of Zionism and Israel
As to the person on the left saying the USA shouldn't exist, what should it be replaced with? a Native American state? in a land where they are the minority?

I hope you’re well zevi

Perfectly said.
Jews ARE Canaanites. Even modern DNA testing proves that.
BS

Gd gave land to each nation, the land of the Jewish nation is Israel, just like India is for Indians. The British conquered India and gave it back to the Indians. The Muslims conquered Israel, lost it in a war they started with the Jews and refuse to give up what never was theirs to be taken. The conflict will end when the Palestinians accept their losses and start building a life worth living for their children.
about the israelites going into to israel and fighting people they didnt do it until the people sinned "[...] the fourth generation your descendants will come back here, for the sin of the Amorites has not yet reached its full measure." the same goes for 48
Zionism has an exact definition. It's not about what you think it means

Very poorly informed discussion about zionism and colonisation.
God never gave you people anything, you are the descendants of Edomites mixing with Europeans, you are not part of any land ownership by God 😂
