- Hey everyone! Just got out of seeing Dune Part 2 and I'm still shocked! I can't wait to see it again in theater!

That popcorn bucket is just genius marketing.
Absolutely! Didn’t even put popcorn in it! 😂 the lady gave me an extra bucket for the popcorn. I will have this forever…or until it takes too much space in the office. I had to, for the memes.
The movie was bomb though, and if this helps make a third one with Denis, then so be it 😂 I’m down.

The comment about Dave Bautista’s character being a brute but actually a wimp reminds me of one of the interviews I saw featuring Dave, where he said something about how the director told him about Rabban’s character, how deep inside he’s a coward and he’s insecure because the other harkonnens are clearly smarter and more competent, and he uses the aggression as a sort of facade to mask that insecurity,

Absolutely! Makes total sense how he uses that strength on underlings, but when faced with an actual challenge-he’s weak. Was funny to see for sure, and he did a good job!

Dude, yes it was insane. So refreshing after all that marvel, terrible cg fests we’ve had. The King Kong Godzilla movie trailer ran before it and I was laughing. I was like, oh it’s Transformers now 😂

@@NerdDumb There's a Bene Gesserit mini-series coming soon and I think it will dump a lot of lore and exposition onto the audience before the third Dune movie comes out.
@@maazahmed506 hopefully Denis is involved in some way, I can see it being more like Game of Thrones, family politics and all- versus the Dune movies.

That moment where Paul shows everyone that he is the Prophet left me in awe. Incredible performance by Timothé and Stilgar’s moment of full zealotry made me so sad.
Yea dude, that was so good! Haven’t had a second viewing since then but I got a 70mm iMac viewing on Sunday. Definitely been thinking about this movie for weeks now. But will have a final review after I see it there too.
I want to see if the performances were meh like I originally thought, or was I just in awe of the craft. That’s my goal this next time.

I feel exactly like the guy you talked to, but I read the books too. I wasn't understanding some of the laughing. I kind of understand that people who didn't read the books are just going to take things differently. Excellent movie. Going to see it again Saturday. The Emperor was jealous of the Duke because he was becoming so well loved. But even he loved the Duke so that's why the Barron couldn't just murder the Atreides. Thanks for the review!

I think people may bring their past experience with movies, plot beats, deliveries of line into this and maybe them laughing at stuff from that. I was shocked to hear when people were laughing. And I was like, “dude, I didn’t even think like that!” But guess some did. I did laugh at Javier’s character, but maybe I shouldn’t have. I knew it was serious. Maybe it was just my joy, and captivating experience on the screen? Maybe.
Yes, he absolutely was for sure. And you can see it here totally. The politics are crazy interesting to see. I definitely want to see it again too!
