- So, Backstory. I do all I can to not play stuff that will get my VOD muted on Twitch. That keeps the channel safe. When it comes to fusion collabs or meme stuff like Silvagunner, you never know what is going to show up in the song. This one, didn't last 2 seconds before I had to stop it. NEW RECORD!
We celebrated by playing the original from Laura Shigihara!

Especially as a rhythm gamer / song request streamer this new agressive DMCA thing is infuriating. At this point I just accepted Twitch's kill all vods so that I can keep doing my thing at least and then manually keep VODs alive when I do non music things
After my experience with claiming random beeps, I decided to record my streams while streaming, so highlights would maintain the way it suppose to be..
Who knew that I would need the feature myself, even tho its a staple for most streamers
Imagine what it's like being a female streamer, they get account sniped daily.

DMCA is still a gray area. Imagine playing a 20 hour game without any DMCA claims, but in the last important cutscene, 1 little beep gets muted, while that same beep is through out the whole 20 hour game.... Idk who or what decides that that moment is the time to claim it...

some copyright workaround is to increase the pitch of the video a bit, but u can't change the pitch on youtube videos

I'm not so sure that I get what was a DMCA risk in those first 2 seconds of the first video. Could somebody be kind enough to explain please?
Long story short, that was an actual pop song they used. Therefore it can be DMCA.
More specifically, the voice clip was probably the opening line of said song and Twitch can be very strict with their VOD mutes so he wasn't even gonna chance it.

the video had "it's everyday bro" (pop song) in it, which means he has to stop the video or be at risk of being DMCA'd/getting his VOD muted

@@raikitsunagi I don't think it actually got claimed. The point of the title and his reaction was if he let it played out then it definitely would have so it was an instant NOPE the moment he realized what it was.

@@JackitK there's a section in the twitch creator dashboard to see copyright claims, I assume that's updated live so he could see exactly when he got claimed.
