Guys, please equip your talismans and other runic attacks in your inventory. You guys went into your inventory to look at them but never actually equipped them, you need to press x in your inventory to equip. L1+O to use talisman. Use your runic attacks, they help a LOT. L1+R1 for light runic attack, L1+R2 for heavy runic attack. You have a heavy runic attack you should equip in your inventory. Make sure to use Atreus' arrows in combat, they come in handy especially in later combat sequences. Use square to shoot atreus' arrows, and no you dont need to aim them in combat.
No, apparently, it's ruining their experience how they play games 🙄 *"stop telling them how to play"* You know. Real parasocial shit. Fans can't even handle suggestions.
51:05 When you kill the bosses they drop a heap of health, Spartan rage and things needed to upgrade like hacksilver, steel etc. Answer killed the troll, but took off without collecting the loot then opened the chest and upgraded the armour which is fine if you remember to go back. When Oak took over he ran straight off so you left all those goodies behind. 52:32 you will be able to go back to any place you have been before but certain areas and chests will need special items to reach them that will become available as you progress through the story so yes explore and grab what you can but dont get hung up on trying to get everything now because you can't.
Just an FYI, if you accidentally activate Spartan Rage, you can click the buttons again to cancel it, you don't have to let the meter drain. Also you can charge your axe before throwing it - I'm not sure which button it is for you exactly because I used a different control scheme to you but yeah, usually hits a little harder if you charge the axe. You're going to have a rough time with this game if you don't become better at paying attention to the coloured arrows indicating enemies/attacks around you and dodging/rolling/blocking. You will also suffer if you don't read and look around at everything. This is why you still don't realise your Heavy Runic Attack and Talisman aren't equipped. It only gets more difficult as the game progresses boys😂
Noticed also that you guys aren't paying attention to the fact that different armour pieces have different effects, you're just looking at how much strength and such they add or subtract but completely ignoring everything else. Also I'm p sure you received a Frozen Flame so you can upgrade the axe. That will help a lot.
Hi. just a few tips that will help you a lot. - If you hold the attack triggers for longer, Kratos will hit or throw harder. - If you cant reach or hit a target by throwing your axe, try holding the heavy throw trigger for a couple seconds while aiming and then let go. He will throw it harder. - When throwing your axe, if the target is too far, the axe will start falling towards the ground due to gravity. To combat this, you need to aim higher before throwing your axe so it can fall onto your target. Sometimes you may also need to throw it harder. - When you have thrown your axe and call it back to you, you can hit an enemy on its way back if you aim it right. You can also curve its path to you. - You need to equip runics. It will increase your armour and weapon effectiveness. you know its qeuipped whn you see an E on it and the symbol shows on you weapon tree. - Buy abilities when you can afford to. They make it a lot easier and fun to play.
39:05 "You must learn efficiency, boy" *set himself on fire, barely survive with probably 1HP* 😅 Not Answer, casually breaking two burny things in the row right against Kratos' face.... I'm just 💀
Guys remember. You can go back to places you've been. Don't worry too much about doors you can't open or chests covered in roots or whatever. You will get the right tool/ability later in the game. You can go back eventually.
Guys, I recommend doing more secondary missions to improve Kratos' armor and attacks, you could also play that separately and record only the main missions and those that you consider important
Big tip! When you see a red crystal with red&white branches around it, come back later when you have the gadget to brake it. Same with black and blue branches, they also have a different gadget to brake them. This game has mid to high amount of backtracking if you want materials to unlock certain armours or weapon upgrades. Best of luck!
47:30, when you STUN an Ogre, you can ride them like the Cyclopes in the old games and use them as HEAVY MELEE WEAPONS! Whenever I got into a fight, if I see and Ogre, that's what I do first, stun them, then use them to take out all the smaller enemies so I can then focus on them when they throw you off.
Don't worry about missing things; you can backtrack to most places. In fact, some things you can't get unless you return later. Spartan rage doesn't heal by itself, you need to land attacks during the rage for it to heal. With regard to the yellow/red indicators: - Yellow is in some sense not "blockable", because they may break your block. Yellow attacks are however _parryable_, meaning if you try to "block" at the right time you'll parry instead. There's some risk/reward to take into consideration, because if you fail the parry you can end up having your block broken and end up being momentarily stunned instead. You can always opt to dodge instead, but there are rewards to parrying yellow attacks. - Red is never blockable/parryable. Always dodge these.
Guys, please🙏, when you get back from Alfheim, do not go to the main task, but take a boat ride along different piers, there are so many things you missed
Better off doing this after reaching the peak which is the next mission after alfheim, you'll get better lore dialogue cause of mimir and you'll raise the serpent more unlocking the areas fully as some paths are only half unlocked beforehand
Been waiting a week for this. And I'm sure I'll be re-watching this part at least a couple times, as I've been doing with the previous two playthroughs to fill up my GOW meter till the next upload.
Remember the top of the screen is your compass and the yellow diamond symbol is your main objective. When that symbol is in the middle your objective is straight ahead. Using that will help you differentiate between the main path and the side paths.
See notice the difference between the perfect parry at 1:25:44 with the yellow attack and the regular block at 1:25:58 with the yellow attack. The perfect parry allows you to stagger them and go in for an attack of your own. The regular block will stagger you. Timing is the key.
I'm just going to leave this comment because I'm not sure of anybody has brought it up yet and I haven't seen you go to that tab .... The map is EXTREMELY useful..... Just like in Hogwarts Legacy, it is divided into sections and each section tallys up what you've collected and your % complete for the area. You can see what you missed (2 chests, a bird of odin, etc). I'd recommend that if you go through an area you've seen before, check the map first to see what's left to find so you can be on the lookout. And if you happen to have a day where one of you isn't free to play but one of you is, that person can check the map then circle back to zones you've already played and gather what you've missed. Not very important but a nice way to get some more XP and $ ..Edit: Also, this can be off camera, but one of you needs to slowly read through all the upgrades and purchases so you can make a gameplan for how you want to level up abilities. 👍
You guys really need to start paying more attention to the story this game is an amazing combat game with many different ways of attacking but the story is really what ur playing and we are watching for and you don’t need to try and complete every puzzle and chest you see as you will have many more chances to do them or come back to them further in the game ep 3 and ur still at the very start of the game this is going to be a lonnnggggg series if you spend 20 to 30 minutes trying to figure out how to open a chest explorer as there is much to see but please know when to move on
I very much disagree on the puzzle part, if a chest can be opened now figure out how and do it, super annoying seeing people leave stuff behind purely for the sake of getting through it quicker, the puzzles are part of the fun of the game
Guys, a lot of the things you guys have bought to upgrade you actually haven't equipped yet so you havent really levelled that much up. And remember to use your special attacks.
I wish they would see the comments about making their gameplay easier:( Please remember to use the targeting system. It will help tremendously for targeting enemies.
47:36 just pointing it out. Yall missed some goodies. Remember whenever you defeat an enemy, they give goodies for you reward so always look back at where they last died. Love the series guys, keep em coming 🫡
Revenant is easy to fight. use Atreus and then run to her to melee her. when she's no longer stunned, use Atreus again and then run to her to melee her, and loop. look for patterns when fighting different enemies, your life will be easier and things will be less frustrating. can't use your axe? use your fist. can't use your fist? use your axe. can't use neither? use boy. plenty simple honestly.
When you guys encounter a mini boss or boss remember they drop really valuable loot, Answer kinda just walked away from the loot but it happens. Keep it up 👍
To fight the witch ladies you can use any weapon to hit her but the thing is, you can only hit her after antreas shoots her with an arrow. Press square right before you want to attack her to get a good combo down.
hi guys you can upgrade the skills for the axe it will help you a lot also equipped your runic attacks please it is making us ansious haha great video btw
I love your guys' videos man. But i think 1 ep of GOW aweek is not enough. And i mean that as in, it's like reading 2 pages of a book every week. Idk if it's possible in your planning, but i think 2 episodes aweek would be perfect. There is just to much info to retain
@xtradressn2895 whilest i don't disagree, it's better for the algorithm if they made another one of +- the same lenght, but cut it in 2, so you have 4 episodes aweek
You guys need to slow down and read instruction before do anything. Check and explore your skill and equipment on your menu, before you doing anything. ... and please equip your talisman LOL Explore the area little bit, don't go straight running from point A to point Z. And don't sprint too much, you can missed something so easily, like items or collectibles. Just calm down, don't be rush
54:55 Don’t worry about missing stuff - just put a pin in it for later. The world is pretty much open, and you will be able to explore and clean up both during the story and in the post game. Hope this helps (:
1:20:00, Kratos is trying to hide the fact that he and Autreus are gods, because he knows what that power can corrupt and destroy a person totally from within. Like what happened to him, when he brought his whole world crashing down, and then destroyed it!
Games like these are in a sub-genre called "Metroidvania" (a portmanteau of "Metroid" and "Castlevania") - it was named so because Metroid and Castlevania games were the first ones to use this format, and the format is that you have a semi-open world to explore with areas/items you can't access/get until you get specific upgrades that allow you to pass through those areas. God of War 2018 is not a traditional Metroidvania, but it still follows that same logic, so if you come across something you can't get NOW, you will eventually get something (usually much later in the game) that will allow you to come back and access it then.
54:40, LUCK affects and increases the chance of your armor and weapons perks activating, and increases the amount of EXP and Hacksilver you pick up from encounters, quests, loot and enemies.
When your upgrading your gear or making new selections, keep and eye on the gauge in the diamond I the center. It tells you your current level of strength, just like the creatures.
Remember, sometimes its better just to blackout then use your Resurrections Stone. Obviously when your no match for t powerful enemy, but also, when you blackout in an important boss fight, it will bring you right back to the beginning of the fight, AT FULL HEALTH AND RAGE!
After you are done with this, obviously play Ragnerok! But also maybe you guys can do a video on "The Making of God of War" that Santa Monica Studios came out with! I WOULD love to see a reaction to that video!!❤
*IMPORTANT TIPS!!! 42:10 Remember you have to actually equip the skill to use it. It doesn't automatically equip. You'll know which skill/ability is equipped by the letter "E" marking on the left hand side of the menu. 42:21 To actually use your runic/magical ability, you have to have your axe in hand then press L1+R1 for a light runic attack or L1+R2 for a heavy runic attack (you never equipped your heavy runic attack though, so it won't work if you press L1+R2 until you equip that ability). You did figure it out with the armor though. It'll be just like that to equip runic abilities. Luck not only increases your gain from XP and hacksilver, but it also increases you chances of a perk ability to activate from things like enchantments and axe pommels. Also, if you ever come across an item, object, or area that you don't have access to yet, the game will tell you. It'll usually tell you by having one of the characters say something like "we may need something else for this" or "this might require something we don't have yet." And last, make sure when you're looking at armors, pommels, and enchantments in the shop that you also pay attention to the description of the object. Not just the stats. Sometimes stats aren't the best thing to look at. You might want an armor or weapon's perk ability but the stats might not look so great at first until you upgrade it. Also when you find new armors, make sure you don't prematurely judge it based off of stats. It might look like an armor is worse from the stats at first, but you have to remember that you're comparing it to the armor you already have on, which has likely been upgraded already and has enchantments in it to make it look better. But in actuality, the new armor can be upgraded to a higher level than the one you may have on already, and it'll be even more powerful when you add enchantments. Otherwise, great playthrough! Make sure you guys explore the realm after when you get a chance. I noticed you guys looked around in the boat, but you didn't really go anywhere. There's actually 2 different areas you can go in this realm. One area all the way to the left, and one area all the way to the right. You won't see it unless you travel over there.
As you traverse the worlds you'll discover new abilities - you learned of the blue glowing jewels this episode -the vines and the green glowing things come later.
Has anyone told them that they can buy a resurrection stone in the shop that can give them a second chance if they get knocked down in a battle? They could really benefit from that
Guys it's called God of war. You have to fight enemies. Not stand looking at them. And equip talismans. Also, change your camera angle so you're not just looking at the ground. You need to look around more. You're missing stuff.
There are many places where you won't be able to complete the puzzle because you don't have the right 'tools', this is still very early days in the game. For Revenants you can barehand them but you have to catch them when Atreus' arrow staggers them, they're a pain in the ass either way. Using your shield and runic attacks will be important in combat, for the former you need to make sure you deal with timing, yellow attacks can be parried. Yellow (poison) enemies will explode before dying, best to get out of the way or kill them quickly. Vases are a better hacksilver resource than crates, gotta Legend of Zelda it.
Some of the chests in God of war that have like the pink stuff on them you can't get those until you get like a certain type of arrows with kratos the Son Adrus and the ones with blue stuff over it you can't get until you get the blades of chaos
PLEASE EQUIP YOUR HEAVY RUNIC ATTACK ON YOUR AXE AND YOUR TALISMAN. THATS BEEN KILLING ME LOL😂😂. Also whenever you kill bosses or like mini bosses (ogres or trolls) remember to loot their bodies. They drop currency and resources to level up your gear. Other than that keep pushing😂.
yo dont forget to lock on to enemies. makes it easier to fight them. your just press down on the right joy stick while looking at a enemy. Dont forgot to equip heavy attack for you axe.
Guys, please equip your talismans and other runic attacks in your inventory. You guys went into your inventory to look at them but never actually equipped them, you need to press x in your inventory to equip. L1+O to use talisman. Use your runic attacks, they help a LOT. This is major guys and will help
THIS!!
A few of us mentioned it in the comments of the last video but it seems they missed it. Hope they actually spot yours this time.
No, apparently, it's ruining their experience how they play games 🙄 *"stop telling them how to play"*
You know. Real parasocial shit. Fans can't even handle suggestions.
Hope they see this
They always say how cool the runic attacks are but never equip them. 😭
😂
Atreus would have the ultimate
"My dad could beat your dad"
I think its safe to say they aren't beating a single Valkyrie😔😂
Nahh they aint😂
@@os_shadowx_yt8962 let's crawl before we run with them😭🤣
I can't wait for episode 59 when they finally buy their first ability in the skills menu 😂
Btw, Spartan Rage heals you but only if you attack an enemy. Basically the more you punch when Spartan Rage is activated, the more you heal.
Gets told about the lock on and doesn’t use it for the entire video😂 I love yall
Lets be real, when playing games you just go with it and forget techniques you learned 😂😂
51:05 When you kill the bosses they drop a heap of health, Spartan rage and things needed to upgrade like hacksilver, steel etc. Answer killed the troll, but took off without collecting the loot then opened the chest and upgraded the armour which is fine if you remember to go back.
1:11:00 "stay by me, touch nothing"
/runs and punches a jar 😂
They don’t listen to the game play 😅
Stop😂😂😂😂😂😂
if im not mistaken that ogre drops an upgrade for the axe. Answer just left the arena without looting him after that huge fight.
What a great way to start the morning. Kids' first day back to school, so I get to relax and watch you guys play some GoW. 😄
Playthrough it with the.
Here in Persia, Its night. LOL🤣
Hi. just a few tips that will help you a lot.
- If you hold the attack triggers for longer, Kratos will hit or throw harder.

39:05 "You must learn efficiency, boy" *set himself on fire, barely survive with probably 1HP* 😅
Not Answer, casually breaking two burny things in the row right against Kratos' face.... I'm just 💀
This comment broke me😂
I usually skim along the video so when I read this I had to go back and check roflmao
Guys please remember that you can hold R2 to charge your atacks and throw the axe harder while in combat.
Loving the series keep it up!
i love how Kratos opens doors for the cameraman too
Guys remember.
4:43 FYI You can actually read the stories

Same with black and blue branches, they also have a different gadget to brake them. Yellow attacks can be blocked by a parry, not normal blocks. Avoid red attacks.
This pains me to an immeasurable belief.. and I’m here for it
47:30, when you STUN an Ogre, you can ride them like the Cyclopes in the old games and use them as HEAVY MELEE WEAPONS! Whenever I got into a fight, if I see and Ogre, that's what I do first, stun them, then use them to take out all the smaller enemies so I can then focus on them when they throw you off.

The dark pictures anthology would be 4 nice little games for you guys :)
Heh, punches flame pot and it explodes and hurts him. 5 seconds later he hits another flame pot and it explodes 😂
Another great game!! Can't wait until the next play

Little advice:with Revenants you first have to shoot them with Atreus's arrows, then they become vulnerable to any melee or axe attacks

Answer & Oak got horny blood 24:30 teehee 😈 & great Answer moment at 40:30 haha! & I heard that Randy Orton reference too. 😀
One thing you should save for and consider getting is the armor for Autreus, they come with VERY helpful perks.
And some common sense. If something looks like it's gonna explode, don't punch it. Roll away
To fight the witch ladies you can use any weapon to hit her but the thing is, you can only hit her after antreas shoots her with an arrow. Press square right before you want to attack her to get a good combo down.
Kratos is a very "yes sir, no sir" kinda parent 😁
You guys keeo forgetting to check the boys gear and upgrade his stuff too dont forget about him when u find the two dwarve shops.
hi guys you can upgrade the skills for the axe it will help you a lot also equipped your runic attacks please it is making us ansious haha great video btw
You gotta use atrias to shoot arrows with those things to cancel their phasing phase defense so you can hit them and kill them
33:00, typically the Arm and Leg armors have the same buffs or bonus, and they ascent and improve the effects and features of the MAIN Chest Piece.
I love your guys' videos man. But i think 1 ep of GOW aweek is not enough. And i mean that as in, it's like reading 2 pages of a book every week. Idk if it's possible in your planning, but i think 2 episodes aweek would be perfect.

1:20:00, Kratos is trying to hide the fact that he and Autreus are gods, because he knows what that power can corrupt and destroy a person totally from within.
Like what happened to him, when he brought his whole world crashing down, and then destroyed it!
Please upload at least 2x a week! It's a longer game if you explore plus better story continuity
dont forget to manually equip things youve found if you wanna equip em! press (X)
I started singing "Voices" right before you did. hehe
Remember how you guys took time to on your own to practice on RDR2? Yea….. 😆
Great video! I hope yall finish this game!
Right now I just started going through the entire series and getting all the trophies for them and surprisingly they all hold up very well
Guys, you should equip those runic attacks
Patiently waiting for Walking Dead 🙂
43:17 I hated this fight 😂
45:17 im sitting here like, throw it at his FACEEE 😂

Remember, sometimes its better just to blackout then use your Resurrections Stone. Obviously when your no match for t powerful enemy, but also, when you blackout in an important boss fight, it will bring you right back to the beginning of the fight, AT FULL HEALTH AND RAGE!
I really encourage you to check the lore in the codex menu, it has some dope explanations of norse mithology.
They are missing out on so much of the games by not doing this I hope they start soon
I love y'all but sometimes watching you guys play this is very frustrating lol
It'll usually tell you by having one of the characters say something like "we may need something else for this" or "this might require something we don't have yet."
And last, make sure when you're looking at armors, pommels, and enchantments in the shop that you also pay attention to the description of the object.
They could really benefit from that
There are some chests that cannot be unlocked until further progression of story when you acquire new tools. You can go back to it later.
Still pretty new to this channel but im enjoying things so far! Keep it up boys!
Guys it's called God of war. You have to fight enemies. Not stand looking at them. And equip talismans. Also, change your camera angle so you're not just looking at the ground. You need to look around more. You're missing stuff.
Gotta keep upgrading the axe and your armour as high as possible and use the axe as much as possible it will be one your best friends through the game
REMEMBER, THE YELLOW GUYS EXPLODE WHEN THEY DIE!
Some of the chests in God of war that have like the pink stuff on them you can't get those until you get like a certain type of arrows with kratos the Son Adrus and the ones with blue stuff over it you can't get until you get the blades of chaos
This series is great I feel like resident evil 234 remakes would be so funny to watch the guys play
Let's goo🔥💪
Guys, you forgot to upgrade your AXE!!!!!!!!!!
Upgrade the axe with the frozen flame at a dwarven shop
Inversion breaks my immersion
Can you imagine these two playing Outer Wilds? ❤
27:40, you need to remember to EQUIP it!
yo dont forget to lock on to enemies. makes it easier to fight them. your just press down on the right joy stick while looking at a enemy. Dont forgot to equip heavy attack for you axe.
if something is meant to have your axe thrown at it the aimer will light up blue
Man..i cannot breath..
Please guys go to the SKILLS tab and LEVEL UP your abilities!!
