Erik is 20 years younger bro. Of course he can hit those high notes, and be pretty good at it. Still nowhere close to the charisma/presence/energy of Bach. As good as Erik is, and he is definitely better than Sebastian NOW simply due to being in his prime, i'd STILL prefer Skid Row with Bach and Affuso. Would rather hear Bach mess up some vocals and miss some high notes but have that original vibe present.
Erik is great, and they haven’t sounded as good as they do now since Sebastian…but never forget right now Erik is painting by numbers…his job is to recreate what Sebastian brought to life. With practice and the right tools, you can paint the Mona Lisa…but only one person in the history of mankind can create the Mona Lisa and bring her to life. Erik is an amazing singer, but he never be the one who brought the songs to life. The one thing to say here is that Sebastian hasn’t sounded this good in a long time either. It seems as though a fire has been lit under him, and he pushing himself to answer the call. At basically twice Erik’s age, what more can a person do?

What’s sad is that they couldn’t reconcile differences and egos to reunite - cuz it could have been epic !! Coarse that’s past now. But glad I grew up on Bach fronting skid row .
