Yeah it sucks but Van Damme is human and still a great guy and had his fair share of personal struggles. He even said sometimes he can be difficult with people. He admitted it at least. Things happen. Huge fan of Jason Frank and Van Damme love them both to death!!! I own most of their works on DVD! He was funny, smart, a great role model, a family man and didn’t take sh!+ from nobody. That JDF v Van Damme video is on TH-cam. That was one of the first things I watched after his passing. Never backed down. Ready to go. Anytime, anywhere. He was the real deal man! “Don’t try to punk me man” frank said to Van Damme! Never forget it. Van Damme is one my favorites and here is the Green Ranger not backing down an inch! Good video bro👏👏👏

JDF was legit a real one, and not afraid, respect. That being said JCVD is 12 years older than him, he's 62 right now... Van Damme in his prime was an absolute beast, he's an old man in that video where he says "Don't try to punk me man", and JDF is in good shape 45 year old guy.. bigger too..
Just pointing out Van Damme wasn't PRIME Van DAmme lol, that would be a much different story if this fight was to go down in the 90's lol. Both legends in my book, and childhood heroes of mine. Sad to see they had beef.. Hope JCVD says something about JDF's passing in respect. Rip Green/White Ranger.

@@randomrecipes5007 Prime Van Damme was a ballet dancer and an actor. He has never been a professional fighter, or done any kind of competitions. Bulky, balled up muscle isn't as advantageous in a fight as non-experienced, non-professional fights might think it is. Tone, definition, cardio, and linear USEABLE muscle is key. Just doing body builder show muscle and expecting to be fast or capable is a mistake that happens a lot to guys who show up to our gym thinking because they love PEDs and 'roids to lift their weights, it makes them untouchable.
We always throw them a smaller guy who is toned up and experienced and it always ends the same. Big man gets either knocked out, choked out, or gives up because he's puking his guts out because he's out of breath.

the final comment about separating the artist from his art i think was when he was talking about recent events with austin st john being arrested (the red ranger). this was in regards to next year’s power rangers anniversary reunion and not jean claude van damme.
also van damme was at the red carpet premiere with his kids at the power rangers movie at the mann chinese theater. there was a behind the scenes documentary of the movie mentioning van damme was there because his kids were big fans of them. that is why i find it hard to believe van damme had any beef with jason. they were also fans of the rangers.
also i believe david yost was bullied on set and there was an old clip of david frank putting a fly in david yost’s food. and also a brief portion of a behind the scenes where david was pushing jason away from him, almost instinctively. so all i can say is we don’t know jason david frank personally to make hard cut opinions with his personal life, because people are complex and most people are not saints.

My friend was a nice, humble guy despite his accomplishments in the sport and he rarely had anything bad to say about anyone. However, he said VanDamme was a total dick.
