Loved this show by Galliano! The models’ hair looked disheveled but it was so right for the show’s clothes and direction! Galliano kept it “minimalistic” and his usual extravagance was subdued for this show, displaying an understated elegance. All these nude, pinkish and beige colours on the models were so right for this show! I loved how Hye Rim Park was so professional, just continued sashaying down the runway as if nothing happened when one of her stilettos came off suddenly on her way to the front. She definitely worked those shoes! And Ai Tominaga was so beautiful in this show! I would assume that it was one of her last major shows before she slowed down and disappeared from the major international runways before making that surprise return with Ling Tan in that Givenchy black and white coloured Fall 2010 show by Riccardo Tisci. Totally miss Ai Tominaga’s presence on the major runways. She was such a Japanese beauty and also tall, a rare trait for Japanese people/models unlike Chinese models. Before there was Du Juan or even Mo Wandan, Pei Bei, Tao Okamoto, Shu Pei, Han Hye Jin, Hye Rim Park, Liu Dan, and Anne Watanabe, Ai Tominaga was already making her mark as one of the successful predecessors of East Asian models after Ling Tan slowly disappeared, appearing in Gucci and YSL campaigns. Really missing her presence on the runways. Liu Wen, Ming Xi, Xiao Wen Ju and Sun Fei Fei are really working hard to get where they are today but if it wasn’t for their predecessors such as Eugenia Mandzhieva, Ling Tan, Ai Tominaga, Du Juan who paved the way for them or even other Asian models such as Ujjwala Raut and Lakshmi Menon, or the rise of the East Asian clientele especially from China who have a lot of disposable income to spend on luxury goods, their career paths would have been even more arduous than it already is. And with the ubiquity of Asian models like Sora Choi and Yoon Young Bae walking in many major runway shows and snapping campaigns left and right (not as easy as Caucasian models but still easier than their predecessors), I think the current era of models (e.g. instamodels, influx of nepotism models, models who can barely sashay properly) has it relatively easier for them to succeed in high fashion compared to the late 90s - early 2000s. And I find models like Sora Choi and Yoon Young Bae so pedestrian looking even though they are beautiful, just not high fashion ethereal like Ai Tominaga or Du Juan or even Sun Fei Fei. Sorry for the rant but I really miss East Asian models who came early such as Ai Tominaga.😂😂😂

This show could've been on the recent S/S17 catwalks and not look dated, right down to hair and makeup. Only dead giveaway is that these girls are actually gorgeous and can walk properly.

The main problem of John Galliano is he could not create a Dior it bag which is the most profitable part of a fashion house, although the clothes are very pretty.

feelmebeme Unfortunately, it was a major item of Dior’s outlet. And it has been completely abandoned by LVMH now. Dior only has one it bay, which is Lady Dior.

Nino Wang The Lady Dior bag is super boring, the Saddle bag is making a comeback, everybody wants one now, i doubt that LVMH allows Maria Grazia to put it again in the new collections cause it screams Galliano! but only the time will say that...cause Maria Grazia has been putting a mix between John and Raf to create her vision of Dior. In the other hand, i don't think that a bag is the biggest seal of this house, maybe Hermés or Céline but Dior has some other well known features.
