I'm always amazed how people can break someone down just by looking at them. I have such a hard time differentiating color undertones (red, blue etc) and knowing what colors work together. that's why I use palettes. 😅
Cecilia C I only know how to figure out if the undertone of your skin is more yellow/neutral or pink. If the veins on your wrists appear rather greenish, your undertone is yellow, if they appear purple, it's pink.
Schlachtenhase My wrist veins appear Blue, not Purple nor Green. My Mom Dad & Daughters as well. Ironically my skin is yellow & pink on my face/body. I think it's the mixture of culture? Mom has mainly light European backgrounds with American Indian mixed in. Pinker skin tones. Dad is German & Italian. Yellow skin tone. & my daughters are part Hispanic. But somehow you see all of our veins are exactly blue. don't know how that all works
The foundation and concealer on the custom side LOOKED SO GOOD your skin looked so healthy. If its too dewy use some setting powder and you'd be all good to go!

If you want the concealer to be more matte, you can set it with a little bit of powder. It'll also help it keep from creasing and stay on longer. I use a NYX powder over my Maybelline concealer and it helps so much!

if you were my friend in real life I'd tell you to try doing your eyeliner a little lighter. the bottom lash liner is alot with the chunky cat eye. you should try a thinner line with a small flick and good mascara 😽✌😀

I think it's mostly the angle rather than the thickness. The line isn't too thick to me but she isn't following her eye's natural angle and I think that's what's making her eyes look kinda sad. But she has clear almond shaped eyes so she can kinda get away with that, but following the eye's natural line would look brighter.

FruityCandy im native american so i either use lighter foundation or no foundation because because drugstore stuff looks orange after a certain point. and i obviously choose to wear lighter foundation causd i dont want to look lilr an ompalompa so thats probably why i dont look tan.

What about shoe inserts? The ones you can get at the drug store, or those fancy Dr. Scholls computer stands VS. custom orthotics. This make up makes you look so fresh and beautiful... Definitely worth it.

Audible rules! I think you can rock that bright pink lip with the custom products! You look really good in both looks, but I do love the foundation in the custom formula it was really glowy and pretty without being overly dewey, if that makes sense.
I actually prefer the drugstore look. It seems "fun", like something I'd wear to go out with friends. :) The custom makeup is nice, but I feel like a lot of makeup artists go with "plum" and "mauve" colors because they are safe. The custom makeup isn't bad looking; is refined and mature. I think the best makeup "style" to go with ultimately depends on the message you are trying to convey. Both looks accentuate your natural beauty in different ways.
Custom foundations are super useful to figuring out your skin tone. If you can save up just to get something like that once, you can then save a little bit of it basically forever to bring with you to the store and compare to cheaper foundations and find the closest shade. I could never get a great shade match until I did that, and it was totally worth it IMO

If you want to mattify the concealer then mix it with a bit of the foundation. A very light layer of powder on top would help, too. I usually apply the powder with a blending brush.
I'm definitely thinking of splurging for my birthday next month and getting me some custom foundation. I've been on the hunt for a good foundation FOREVER, my skin is so weird and it's hard to find the right shade and texture in foundation, I also have the combination skin. I personally feel like getting custom foundation and concealer at least once is a good idea, because even if you don't buy them again, you'll always have that bottle to compare back to! Just make sure that the one you plan on buying is the same coverage as the custom one, because sheer and full coverages look different. And if you can't afford custom makeup, Sephora does this skin match thing for free and they send all the matches to your email. Granted, the foundations there are also pretty expensive, but you can get samples of them!!!
The side pony is giving me Tammy from Bob's Burgers vibes. Also, I don't think the expensive products look better enough to justify the price difference. Both lipsticks are gorgeous. Both are cool toned and look great on you!
