I love The Sims Tree, I don’t usually like to pay for stuff like that but I didn’t hesitate subscribe to help them keep the website alive. And your tree is amazing!
Your NSB template and the sims tree have made organising my legacy so much more fun. I love updating them and being able to see my progress and look back on previous gens.
OMG, yes! I totally needed a recap on your LPs! Thanks! Also nice tools, great job programming them! Kudos to the creator(s)! 💜 I think the real discussion should never be about whether someone should pay for these kinds of tools or who would spend their money buying them. It seems that some people don't understand that coding, animating, designing, testing, etc., are actual jobs! People have to learn skills and spend their time and energy to make these programs; therefore, they absolutely deserve to be paid for that without question! The same goes for content creators, but I think a lot of us have just been spoiled and forget that these programmers owe us nothing. 😂 On the other hand, mocking someone for the way they choose to spend their money... well, that attitude is just dumb. And we're talking about a community that knows firsthand what it feels like to be harshly judged for playing a particular game that others might not like. The saddest thing here is that the very ones responsible for making a good game with a comprehensive family-tree system, in-depth storytelling features, etc., are EA! If someone should be criticized for selling things that should be free (or, at least, well done!), it's them. 😔 These programmers are being creative and resourceful in order to solve others' mistakes (even worse, the things that the responsibles didn’t care about solving). The bare minimum they deserve is recognition and fair economic compensation for their work. Thank you, Ro, for using your platform to introduce us to such amazing creator(s)! 🥰
Absolutely agree! Unfortunately my previous videos about sims tree and other family tree apps always had people complaining about things being a paid service and I tried to just kind of catch that beforehand haha. I 100% agree that it's 1) worth the money because people put hard work in it and 2) paying for a hobby should never be a bad thing!!
I think people tend to forget that the OG Plum Tree had to close because they couldn't afford it anymore. Allowing people (because it's a choice) to pay for certain features is what helps keep these sites alive. Let that sink in. It's not just time and effort that the creators off these sites put in, but also money to keep the servers up and running. Besides.. the basic functions ARE free and I think it's great idea to offer more premium features in return for a small fee. It's not that different from running a Patreon account for lets say CC and having people pay for early access. As someone else mentioned: the one that should do it for free, is EA. I don't mind supporting small creators though. I love Sims Tree 💖 Also I completely forgot about the gallery function, so guess who's now gonna implement that in her own tree? 🤭
I 100% agree with you! If anyone should do it for free it's EA and untill then services like this are amazing whether you use the paid or the free version 💜
@Rosannatxt by any chance could you make a video to at least mention that the plum tree app is back up and running by a new website owner because I can’t find any videos about it being back. There is just a Reddit post that dates back 8 months ago but I don’t know if many people know that they can use the plum tree app again if they want to. Please and thank you.
I'm working on a video for later this year where I cover all available Sims Tree apps and I'll make sure to put the plum tree on there as well. I would like to mention that The OG Plumtree app is still shut down. They simply made their code available to everyone and people have been using it to create something under a similar name. But it's a different website and you cannot go back to your old trees (:
This is a super nice way to display all the sims and there backstories!!
thank you!! 💗

It's such a great website honestly, I love it!!
A huge shoutout to your Notion templates, they are awesome! I'm playing the Sims in Bloom challenge atm, and your template is a lifesaver. 💚
You might be in for a little treat soon 👀
I love this! Thanks for telling us more about it. ❤

This makes me so happy to read 🥹💜
So cool to have all this in one place! I feel like it would motivate me to keep a legacy going after a long time of playing it ❤

I love this comment, thank you 🩷
