Read Randy Barnett's article in the WSJ about "The mistake that is the Libertarian Party". He explains brilliantly why in the US context, a libertarian party is a very bad idea. Given that the system allows only 1 of 2 parties to win federal elections, these 2 parties are not really parties, but coalitions. You have to choose the coalition that is closer to your goals - no matter how much you might dislike some coalition members - or you end up giving power to the people you hate the most or who hate you the most! Remember: the worst that can happen is that really bad guys get into power and just put you in a Gulag or turn you into soap...

Having lived in MN for 40+ years. I've seen many political policies, some good and some bad. Some that use tax dollars wisely and some that don't. We use to have a nice large surplus and now we don't, but we have tampon dispensers in the boys bathrooms. I have a hard time understanding how anyone in their right mind would put their faith or trust in the current Administrations. Makes me wish we had Governor Dayton back.

I am a Libertarian and would NEVER vote for anything the Cheney family voted for, including when George W ran. Anarchy is the lack of a government system. All these are relative terms. This is basic political philosophy. To understand it, start with basic definitions, like government, state, justice, property, etc.

Having lived in MN for 40+ years. I've seen many political policies, some good and some bad. Some that use tax dollars wisely and some that don't. We use to have a nice large surplus and now we don't, but we have tampon dispensers in the boys bathrooms. I have a hard time understanding how anyone in their right mind would put their faith or trust in the current Administrations. Makes me wish we had Governor Dayton back.
