First of all, HD doesn't carry American Standard anymore, they have Hampton Bay now. Second of all not everyone can afford custom cabinets or pay premium prices like $3,000 for a standard 10 × 10. Cabinets can go from $22,000 to $1,600 and HD basically caters to the lower budget shopper and in case you did not notice but HD has very high-end custom cabinets for sale that are on display right next to where they sell these modules. You had to walk through all the showcase models to get to where they sell the pre-made cabinets.
My Hampton Bay cabinets didn't get shrink wrapped, corner guards, or banding guards. No wonder most arrived severely broken in various panels. Home Depot rejects my accurate reviews too, so nobody can know I suppose.
On 27 May 2021 at Home Depot Tooele UT, I paid $26,000 on materials and installation of American Woodmark cabinets. Delivery was late by 3 months and 3 days, and many of the cabinets had defects that I wouldn't have tried to send to a paying customer even when I served as plant manager of a 9th grade woodshop class who manufactured and sold a product. I shared a 30-slide PowerPoint of the defects with American Woodmark on 16 November and as of 10 December, despite multiple phone calls and emails, still have not been contacted by AW "Customer Care" or their local rep regarding replacing the defective items they shipped to me. I could have built higher-quality cabinets and installed them in perfect condition myself by now. I will never buy cabinets from Home Depot or American Woodmark again, and I'll be posting a TH-cam video showing the slide deck of the defects AW sent me.
it's a basic cabinet of course the joints are not dove tail. I know much older cabinets without dove that have held up ( easily 40 years). Dove joints are the best but it matters, what glue or adhesive used, what secures it whether it be staples or nails (butted joints), and also what does consumer reports know about cabinetry or woodworking for that matter?? i'd rather know what a carpenter has to say than them.

Where do these cabinets come from? I am not in your area but in Pennsylvania. Can you give me the name of the manufacturer? They looked good.
