I have the same dishwasher! We absolutely love it. We have bad hard water too, using rinse aid helps keep the interior as shiny as possible, we have our dial to the rinse aid dispenser turned up to the highest setting. The filter is easy to get to just have to remove the lower wash arm, the back feed tube, and the metal sump cover and pull off the filtration manifold then you can reach down and pull those strainers out and wash and rinse them with the filter manifold I check mine about once a year because my family pre rinses ever so slightly so we aren’t getting gummy in there very quickly and I do two cleaning cycles a year.

Thanks for the info. I prewash all the dishes. No matter how good the dishwasher is nothing beats a good scrub brush!
