  • What to do and see in Cordes sur Ciel in the Tarn département of south west France.
The medieval, fortified village of Cordes sur Ciel is steeped in history going back 10 centuries, is one of the first fortified villages in the south west of France.
A great day out for anyone interested in history and the beautiful French countryside, come with us as we visit this, one of the villages classed as the most beautiful villages in France - Les plus beaux villages de France.
Only an hour from Toulouse, this is one of 22 (and more) remarkable villages in the area around Toulouse and Montauban.

I have prepared a short tour and I need to try it out before I do it with a group on 22 April, I'm thinking of between 13 and 20 April to do the test run, if you'd like to be the guinea pig for it - you'll see and learn a lot. DM me on NowToulouse on Facebook and we'll try and organise it.

Hi, It’s a pretty safe place I’d say - very quiet, apart from tourists in season. Do you speak French?
