If it’s a wagon tread carefully, every Taurus wagon I’ve seen except 1 has upside down Vd in the centre. A full cage with rear down bars and bars running up the door are required to keep it from ving. Check out West Niagara fair 2017 midsize straight stock that will happen to this car if the rear is not pre bent to the max, smash the top of the wagon notch dimple the rear frame get that going up cause it’ll go down if not. And the rear doors make sure they are welded with plates that’s crucial too.
I'm gonna be running a 99 Taurus sedan at a local chain and go show. This year our promoter asked us if we wanted a complete stock class (no bumper swaps, no donuts, no adding anything that wasn't factory installed to that vehicle) which I absolutely love buuuuut now I might feel a little bad not saving the Taurus to build up haha.
Hey Mitch. How are you doing today? I hope you are doing excellent. Hope you have a superfantastic day. I love your channel and derby videos. I got a 1995 Ford Taurus sedan off a little old lady and the car only had 100,000 kilometers on it. Car is like new and only paid 1000$ for it so I thought it was a good deal. Like you mentioned that these will be the car's to look for. Be careful in those demo derbys please. God Bless You All. Later alligator. From Canada.
When you build the Camry you should cut wires because simplyfied wirering is less of a hasle when there is something wrong and build it to a class that is a little better then stock to give it the best shot
Don't know if you figured out what your doing with the serpentine belt but with the Taurus's we run with the 3.0 we use a 67" six spline belt. Its about 18" shorter the the original and you need to reroute it but its tight and has worked for us. You just gotta grind a little off the power steering bracket between the alternator and power steering where the belt rubs just a little bit. If you need more pointers on the back end of these wagons let me know. We got them figured out pretty good and would take a Taurus or sable wagon over a w body any day depending on the build.
What if you weld a solid piece of metal from the sub frame to the bumper to reinforce the bumper from folding in half, just a thought. Thanks for the videos! Can’t wait to see this car run in a demolition derby!!!
Hey, why dont u loop the pressure and return power steering lines together and flll with gear oil half way. Or replace the belt with one from an 88-93 mustand with a 2.3 four cylinder and its short enough u can bypass ac and power steering both
just a thought and idk if it would work or not... but why not try looping the lines on the power steering pump? its probably worth a try to at least see if it saves it or whatnot
Looping the lines would save the pump from burning up, but now that it has no purpose i'd rather first try to remove the entire pulley from the car and make more room up front.
I just ran a 93 Lumina with the 3.1 I think my computer crapped out bc it will fire when start fluid is sprayed in it but it is getting fuel up to the motor do you know what other year and model car computer would interchange with it still alot of car left hate to waste it. Thank you love your channel helps alot!!!!!
When we raced bomber stocks (pure stock) oval track racing, our owner/driver actually had a cassette deck in the race car and he always played 50's rock and roll. His theme song Fun Fun Fun til Daddy takes the T-bird away, because we raced a 1977 Thunderbird in oval track competition.
@@DemolitionMissions Greenfield??? I got my Camry to run thjs year and another Toyota car.. I love em man so easy to do even for a non mechanic like me.
Could you not just unbolt the pulley wheel off of the pump itself, then you would not have to remove the whole system saving time and the support for the alternator.

That's a good price for a very reliable car. I would drive it for several years.
DemolitionMissions. Hey Mitch. Yeah it is a daily driver for now. Hope all is going excellent for you guys. Hope you have a superfantastic day. Later.

I ended up removing the A/C and P/S pump pulleys then using the tensioner is a backwards way to hold tension. Seems to work, just looks weird.
@@DemolitionMissions what belt did you wind up using?
Cut those crush boxes off and frame shorten to the subframe. Thing will be block of steel
Looks good, Mitch :-)

We are not allowed to weld any metal reinforcement to our cars

Will it mess up the computer amd not start of i cutout old tank etc on 2006 Altima ? I put a pump for gas out a tank with an electric pump . ?
You need a fuel pump with the correct psi fuel pressure to run the engine. And maybe a pressure regulator if that car needs one
How do you do the fuel system in these? I’ve heard they are a nightmare to put a fuel cell in because of the system
96-99 have a return system. The 2000s are returnless and need a pressure regulator.

2.3 four popper belt, cut the p.s. pump bracket so it doesn't affect the alternator, and remove both pumps.

there's a taurus wagon in it and it bent bad in front of the rear wheels around 0:45-0:46
Does the spray foam not melt under heat?
It does not melt no, but it can catch on fire against burning hot parts of the engine.
Can you run steam tanks or do you have to use the radiator ?
Or can you move the rad to inside the car ?
What rules are there ?
No, only the derbies out west allow radiator barrels ontop of cars. Everything is stock location here
Does the cassette player on that car work
No, the radio doesn't even turn on sadly. I never get music while in the derby
DemolitionMissions I was going to ask to buy it if it worked
I got a off road derby on June 30 and I'm using a Ford escort wagon u can look on my TH-cam channel to see it
You ever run thjs car yet
No, hopefully this summer if I can find a place with rules to pass it

Just move the belt off of the psp and keep it there.

Yes that can be done and is an option, but I am hoping to shorten the whole bracket so it does not stick out so far
Should run without O2 sensor
See my comment on mud boss's comment.
You better notch the crap out of that thing
