that make me more happy becasue max finally change chloe's destiny , seeing her and david relationship make me even more heart warming in the same time :')

If your choices lead victoria to being captured, she actually ends up in the dark room with David and Max.
And during the timeline where you save Chloe, the dark room doubles as a bunker.
That's how David Survives, so it would stand to reason that Victoria would survive too if she was lead down there.
Hopefully I'm making sense.

@The Coon So you stop chloe from going after Nathan so chloe doesn't get killed and max doesn't get kidnapped. But there's no reason for Victoria to not be kidnapped within the changes max made. So Victoria still gets taken, and David still finds the dark room but with her in it instead of max and saves her from Jefferson.

@@danielantoniiomoralesvizca3717 Yeah, I somewhat agree.. although I'm getting a little confused now. At first I thought it was, without Chloe, and then with Chloe. And I though the canon universe was without Chloe, and then the comic book series by Titan comics would explore the alternate option. But I think all of this stuff in Lis2 happens in every universe, because I got this same conversation but it was David talking about how Chloe died by getting shot by a rich kid at school at the one place he was meant to protect her. So.. I'm kinda confused. I don't know. But I still love the entire universe, it's great and all these alternate universes really show just how in depth the whole thing is.

That was interesting to see. In my game I saved Arcadia Bay and things went differently.
David feels guilty for never being a good dad to Chloe before she died, and he's in that camp to rebuild from that feel of failure, Chloe's death itself and his divorce with Joyce.
Instead of the photos on the wall, you can find a letter to Joyce on the sofa. The phone call he gets is from Joyce and you find out they got together again. He doesn't mention Max at all.

It makes sense that he didn't mention Max, because in this timeline, nothing of that whole week happened and Max was just a former friend of Chloe for him. He had no relationship to her.

Aww, Chloe and David finally became a family. I always felt sorry for both of them. Deep down they wanted to connect, but it never worked out. Now she even calls him to let him know what's going on in her life, it's too adorable.
Saving Chloe is definitely the better ending. I used to think otherwise.
I believe that saving Chloe allowed the character to become a better person and become less angry at the world

@@talkanders6058 You should be aware that this, along with a small moment in episode 1, are the only references to the first game. If you had zero interest in this game and now only want to play it for LiS 1 references you will be disappointed, just like many people who could not let the first game go when playing this one.
It made me so happy hearing David call Chloe sweetie and telling her he loved her. I'm glad they patched things up in their relationship.

this really made my heart ache but in the best way. seeing david and chloes bond and seeing how they’ve made amends after everything- chloe deserves that kind of peace in her life.
I love how he greeted her with "Sweetie!" how he has grown as a character warms my heart.
I believe that saving Chloe allowed the character to become a better person and be less angry at the world
I also think that David surviving the storm allowed David to work on himself as well

When Chloe died Joyce grew distant and depressed, he tried to make it work but Joyce wanted out of Arcadia Bay with no ties left, sold the house, divorced David to allow him to go his separate way, and started changing her life around as she went exploring the world... David retired from the police force and moved out to the "Away" community to kinda recover from his own grief... When Chloe died he lost his family, and came to terms with the fact that he was way too harsh on Chloe... Nearly breaks down in front of Sean and admits that they may have been distant but he loved her as if she was his own daughter... He blamed himself partly but he still has Nathan's picture in his trailer, probably harboring a giant grudge towards the kid... The scene ends with him and Joyce talking on the phone, about where she is now and happy things, and then it shifts over to how Joyce is worried over the fact that the Prescott's are in talks to get Nathan released but he says he's keeping an eye on it.

The world is a very messy place and doesn't exist a standard to live your life, you can live the way you wanted it (if you know the consequences of the actions) and the conditions you are in as well. Have a family, a very successful job and a property in the best place you can buy is the famous american dream that is sold to the whole world but... We should live our lives the way that we can reach and want... The hippies in this game is a example of that, some history of each one of them talks about being outsiders that united they build a family, and they had a normal life. :)

Took me a while, but when I realized this David is the same David from Life Is Strange, I know we're definitely going to see some amazing stuff when we enter his trailer to explore. Boy am I right! So happy to see the references to the first game. David's family photo with an annoyed Chloe in it, Max and Chloe's photo being happy together after the storm, Victoria Chase's letter thanking David for everything after the Mark Jeffershit incident and a framed up Two Whales Diner pamphlet. There's even the art board made by Max and Chloe when they were kids behind David's trailer. The best part was that you get to eavesdrop David's phone conversation with Chloe! This episode is truly amazing!

I don't like it too much when someone I played becomes an NPC I can't control. I prefer it the other way around, like Chloe in BTS after being an NPC in LIS1 or Steph in True Colors: Wavelengths after BTS. One could argue I can't contol Chloe or Max in the comics, but that's a different medium, so that's ok (though it would have been funny if all the comics acted like the "make your own adventure" book Max and Chloe made as kids 😄).

Having read the Comics now, I finally got the before teaser mention of this.
What I mean is, in the Comics we see Chloe change her hair to this color. She's a little older than this picture,
but in the Comics, unfortunately, she only insinuates of making peace to then visiting David after they've made up, which was never shown.
So, this is a glimpse of the result. Beautiful.

If you didn't save Chloe, David talk how he lost his step-daughter and didn't have a chance to get along with her but if you do you see her being alive there somewhere. So it's possible.

If they try to connect this two, it will take so much time and effort because of the amount of possible ends they need to connect into one. Only if they make one of them actually official ends.

Teng Lor chloe dying seemed like the “better ending” but apparently that’s not the case. If chloe dies, he just divorces Joyce, and ends up here...kinda sad. If she lives, at least he has someone.

I'm honestly a bit sad that sacrificing Arcadia Bay is the canon ending. A lot of people chose the opposite ending because they either did not like Chloe or thought saving the lives of so many others was the better choice. They could have done a scene with an older Max instead and some type of conversation about how she had to make a difficult choice once. Idk.
LiS 2 has 7 different endings and in the beggining of the game, it asks what you chose or it pulls from your save. Both endings are still canon.
Then where's the other outcome, I'm guessing most of gamers chose Chloe if that is true.
Both endings are still canon, it’s just this one showcases the sacrifice Arcadia bay ending. There’s an alternate dialogue where it’s addressed chloe has passed on, and that he regrets not being the father she wanted. Joyce is still alive but they divorce.

@@yellowbirdie7182 both are canon, in the later games you choose if you sacrificed Chloe or Arcadia Bay and different things happen in both cases. The developers of the new game told that you can choose what ending you got as well, so I imagine that it will have an impact in the story. What I was saying is that it seems that in the new game Max and Chloe are not together, so fans are thinking that Chloe is not gonna have an important role in the story, which is kinda sad knowing all we had to do to save Chloe in the first game.

I like this segment with David in the Sacrifice Arcadia Bay version for several reasons.
We see that Max and Chloe are still together after all these years. Some thought Chloe would leave Max because she let her mom and so many people die...but that was never an option considering her reaction to that choice in the finale. Partners in crime forever!
We learn that they've been to New York. It was one of the places Chloe wanted to visit, something she told Rachel about in the prequel. But the best part is that on top of that, they travel to different places together and Max becomes a photographer. It's literally their childhood dream and they realized it. There's a flashback in the first game about what they want to do when they grow up.
Max: "What do you truly want to do when you grow up?"
Chloe: "Max, I'm already grown up. What about you?"
Max: "Travel. That would be awesome. Explore the world. Go far from here..."
Chloe: "Far from me? Thanks a lot, dude."

Chloe: "I would be like Lara Croft, except real. That would be majorly cool."
Max: "Totally! We'd have cars and boats and planes all over for instant escape! And no adults could tell us what to do!"
Chloe: "Count me in. What would you do while I was bodyguarding you?"
Max: "Maybe take pictures of our adventures. I would love to be a photographer. As if I ever could be..."
Chloe: "What are you talking about? Max, you are a photographer. Your pictures could be in a museum. Someday they will. I believe in you..."
So...they did.
I love the fact that Chloe and David made up and now have a warm relationship. Chloe no longer feels alone and abandoned by everyone now because she because has Max and no longer step-jerk David. And Max and Chloe now have a place to come back to and where they will always be welcome.
And finally I love the picture of Max and Chloe. Chloe now has a design close to her childhood image - she has long hair again and is okay with wearing pink things. I think it reflects her inner state - she's no longer a girl angry at the world, and she can finally be at peace with herself having Max around. I also like Max's new look - she looks more confident and no longer hiding behind bangs.
I'm glad Max and Chloe are in a good place after all they've been through. They deserve it.
I was pretty pissed when David started saying that Chloe died when I was playing LIS2 for the first time just now, since I selected that I sacrificed Arcadia Bay, which I did in every LIS1 playthrough. Sucks when you have to go to TH-cam to see the "actual" version.
What made this better was that the Mac and chloe theme was playing in the background
Is it just me or David being there in the Away camp makes way more sense considering Max and Chloe running away ending?

I can't be the only one that wished it was a continuation of the first game I just cant enjoy it tbh and I get it's not just about chloe and max it just hits so hard knowing we probably won't see them again lol I'm just crazy but life is strange will always be the best out of the series

As soon as I saw the Polaroids in David’s RV I knew max and Chloe were at the camp taking photos and visiting David.fuck Arcadia bay I would save those two anytime again and again.

@@diesuein1861 The comics are non-canon. And are basically even more fanfiction at this point with the actual game confirming that Max and Chloe are living together in New York and not Seattle and spent time living with David before they went to New York.
@@carrastealth Or it could be an alternate universe. String theory and all that. Maybe the comic Max and the LiS 2 Max are just different versions of Max... or maybe the events of LiS 2 just didn't happen yet. The comics take place in 2014, this is 2017.

The comic is just a "what if" fanfiction that they said has absolutely no canon bearing on the actual game.

The comics actually had 11 Issues released by this point. I know some people got upset and angry at the comics for "contradicting LIS2", but...it wasn't until LIS2 Episode 5 that there was an actual contradiction in the first place. And even then, the comics don't have David or Victoria listed as dead and all that.
They don't contradict at all. Life is Strange 2 takes place 6 years after LiS 1, and the events in the comic happen shortly after the destruction of Arcadia Bay. So everything happening in the comics takes place before this happens, and none of the characters that are alive here are stated as being dead in the comics.
@@1Buttonmasher Episode 5 of LIS2 actually takes place in July 2017, which puts Chloe at 23 and Max at 21 (Chloe's Birthday is in March, and Max's in September, so Max wouldn't have turned 22 yet).

I wonder what Sean thinks about Max and Chloe the protagonists of Life Is Strange he and his brother Daniel are the protagonists of life Is Strange 2 so I wonder a great deal what he thinks about the two of them. Is he like: Ooh, David's stepdaughter and her best friend! Or is he like: Oh, David's stepdaughter and her best friend, that's interesting...? Kinda funny that Sean the main character of life Is Strange 2 looks at the picture of Max and Chloe the main characters of Life Is Strange and just looks at it without realizing how big of characters they just like him are in the Life Is Strange Universe.
