I just found out about the budos band. As someone who is pretty bummed about the current state of most music thats out there, it's really...it's just really nice to come across something like this. Well written. Flows real nice. When I hear it, it feels like some lost masterpiece that's found the light again and then I'm like "holy shit this band started 2005? I was almost a decade outta highschool at that point." They really managed to capture the eras and genre influences in a way that renders this an instant classic. It sounds like the backing track I never knew I needed.
This was the song that introduced me to Budos about 6 months ago. This track literally blew me through the back wall within the first 5 seconds. I had to pull a double take because I couldn't believe that a modern band could make such a heavy funk with gritty guitars, a horn section that rivals the greats from the 70's, and organ work that has me speechless...
So stoked for some new Budos...Really digging the artwork too, rendering all of the elements from the previous album covers. The music is spot-on as always.
I wonder many Doom metal fans were drawn by the artwork and then decided to give these guys a listen with their 70's Grindhouse sound - Easily could be the soundtrack to accompany a fuzzy retro cop show in the backstreets of New York or Philly.
Indeed! I was searching through the suggested links on a Uncle Acid vid and this band came up. Thought "Hmm looks kinda doomy but not too cliche/Bit oldschool" Then heard the brass section and straight away imagined a grindhouse police chase! :P I think most people into the retro doom sound i.e Uncle Acid, Orchid, Graveyard etc will love this for being the equivalent retro genre for modern R & B/funk.

There is no mistaking the sound of that budos band. They are a one of a kind, groove machine.

These guys keep bringing it up another level every album and this sounds like some of their best yet. The Budos is upon us.
Superb 70s sound; the horns and key board, reminds me of early Chicago.
Right?!! The rest of the album is on point as well. Def worth checking out ~ itunes.apple.com/us/album/burnt-offering/id899773144

Their art fits perfectly to their sound imo
They keep getting better! Great groove, already available on iTunes and already purchased by this fan.
Evinces 1968. Summer of Love. Haight-Ashbury. Bands like Chicago, Blood Sweat and Tears, Steppenwolf, and Tower of Power. Big sound!

This song should have been in HOTD: Overkill on one of the levels, maybe the strip club level?
+Kalima Victor Eagles Of Death Metal can never be topped at the strip club. You're thinking Death Metal. But it's the EAGLES of death metal.
Puissant Y a pas à dire

No offense to you Budos fans, but this sounds to me like a bunch of very talented guys (gals?) all playing with no idea where they want to go.
Welcome to the world of funk
It actually is extremely coordinated, lots of moving parts here. This is no deadhead jam
and the winner for worst album cover of all time goes to, The Budos Band.
