How to Use Scotch® Delicate Surface Painter's Tape (2080)

    How does this tape compare to 2070?
    I primarily use 2070 for illustration purposes in my career. It has been an invaluable asset as the blue masking take is far too strong and typically rips any of the material I may be using. 2070 is nice and delicate in comparison.
    I was a bit upset when I was told that 2070 was discontinued and have found it very difficult to find reliable places that still sell it at a reasonable price. Amazon put the cost up to double to quadruple what it normally would be. I now normally do my best to save any piece of it I use, even splitting the run I use in half as to maximize my use and not run out too quickly.
    I would hope that the 2070 comes back into use and is circulated to more store outlets that provide materials for creative professionals like myself.

    This vid makes no sense!! I can use almost any masking tape to be a arts farts!! Consumers like me want to know ( for house renovation interior and exterior painting )...How long do I need to wait till applying this product to a freshly paint surface, 8hrs, 12hrs, 24hrs, 36hrs 48hrs?? With out pulling my paint of the surface?? For $8 a small roll these are the answers I need to know??

      Hello Smith! This tape can be applied to surfaces that have been painted for at least 24 hours.
