I just tried this yesterday and I love it! It’s been awhile since I used the original but I remember it being a little hard to spread. This is much silkier and easier to cleanse with, plus it really does look cool 😂 Only down side is it can be messy because of the charcoal, but it’s not too bad.

I absolutely love Clinique take the day off balm. I’m trying the liquid oil cleanser and it’s pretty nice too. It’s lighter then I anticipated it. I feel like I don’t have good luck with charcoal products. They tend to be messy and stain everything everywhere. Plus I don’t have oily skin so it may be too drying for me. On the other hand, your skin looks amazing. What is your favorite oil cleanser? Please share with us your top favorites make up removal (balm, gel and/or liquid oil)❤

Happy christmas to you too! I thought this version would be harsher on the skin, maybe tougher on heavier makeup days? Would you say it cleans more than the original, like the original is a lighter verison? I love the original, use it everyday for years to take off makeup.

Hi Sarah I hadn't even seen the new version before, but have tried the original and it worked fine for me. It's quite expensive for what it is, but otherwise it's a good product. Best wishes.

I bought the sample size too. It felt a bit abrasive on my face but the original balm can cause breakouts for me. I’m not sure what to think about it yet. It’s not as gooey as the original and my sink wasn’t a mess. I followed with my mild facial cleanser.
I agree with you- so many people have great luck with the original version but for some reason it just does not agree with my skin. So far I'm liking this one more but still not as much as other cleansing balms.

All I can think of is that Boscia mask when I think of charcoal. Idk about this one. I love farmacy and biosionse elderberry personally my favs and I don't have to use a second step if I don't want to and I haven't really been using the second step with winter and I don't ware a ton of foundation or anything so I don't feel the need to. I did love the org Clinique take the day off it was HG for along time but yes it did make my eyes cloudy then I discovered farmacy and haven't looked back. I am glad u didn't hate it , I always feel horrible when u spend your money and hate something. The mini was a good call to try it out.

And I’m surprised the Clinique got rid of everything so well! I didn’t care for the texture/consistency of the original (granted, I’ve only tried their mini version once because Ulta had a BOGO sale a year or two ago, and they were included). They’re a bit too late in the Charcoal game, but eh 😂

Peter Thomas Roth 21 Peptide cream has been my all-time favourite. I have been using it as a day cream for years every single morning. About half a year ago, they suddenly decided to repackage it in a jar! They also reduced the size from a 100 ml pump bottle to a horrible 50 ml jar... And they kept the exact same price, which basically means that you get twice less of the product for the same price... I wish I were in the US to buy several bottles on clearance. In Europe, only jars are available now
Ahhh- I saw the one in the jar but I had incorrectly assumed it was a different product. How disappointed to see what they have done. How frustrating that they would decide to put it in a jar after using the much better bottle packaging for years. 😡 I'll never understand what some brands are thinking when they do stuff like this!!!

NOW I know why they launched this product! The OG formula contains Polyethylene which Clinique got a lot of flak for from Skinfluencers. THIS formula does NOT contain it! Plus it looks much silkier so I’m definitely gonna get this. I hated the texture of the original formula.
