Nice tool and demo, but I prefer and own Fons and Porter (Sizes Finished: 2", 3", 4" 5", 6") and Quilt In A Day (Sizes Finished: 3", 4" & 6") fussy cut rulers. (The New Quilt In A Day Set Includes: sizes: 2 1/2, 3 1/2, 4 1/2, 5, 5 1/2 and 6 1/2) They are individual little squares of different sizes with the seam allowance built in and registration marks to center your design. I love Creative Grids rulers, but this one is a bit to fussy. lol
There are different rulers on the market that can accomplish the same goal, but go about it different ways. And I love that! It gives us all the opportunity to find the ruler that is perfect for each of us! For someone cutting a lot of a specific size, they might want a ruler specific to their size. For someone who doesn't do a ton of fussy cutting, or who has space or budget constraints, this all-in-one ruler might work better for them. Options are the best! 🥰
That fabric is called PACHA Hedgehog and it is by Art Gallery Fabrics. All I use is Art Gallery fabrics, so if you're ever wondering, you can google "Hedgehog Art Gallery Fabrics" and it will probably come up!
I'm so glad you asked! It is a set of magnifying lenses that makes it easier to see the fabric lining up with the lines on the ruler. You can learn more about it and order it here: carolinamoorepatterns.com/services/currency/update?currency=USD&country=US&return_to=%2Fcollections%2Fnotions%2Fproducts%2Fspot-on-dot-magnifying-lens-set
The fussy cutting ruler has measurements from the center out, which makes it not ideal for squaring up, unless you're squaring up to the size of the ruler.
@patticavallero538 because the name of the ruler is "Creative Grids Square it up & Fussy Cut." I didn't name the ruler. 🤷♀️ But, because this video is about that ruler, it makes sense to use that name in the title so that people searching for details on this ruler can find the video. 🥰
Such a wonderful tool and you gave a great tutorial on that subject! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks!! Fussy cutting is so much fun!! 😍
Great demo!! Thank you for sharing!!
My pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it! 🥰

Why do you use a different ruler to square it up ? Can you use the same ruler to square it?

Hmm why call it square it up in title??
