So great! I love the full explanation of how to use the rulers and square up all the different blocks - especially the tip about the 1/4" seam issue to check at the points of triangles - I never would have thought about that!
I LOVE you! I looked around a bunch to find someone who actually explains things and SHOWS you how to do stuff. I also like that you don’t talk about a bunch of nothing. You are an excellent teacher! Thanks so very much.
If you have the budget for it, the XL Stripology ruler makes squaring up blocks much easier and quicker. Also, Deb Tucker’s rulers are life changing if you make a lot of traditional block units. Those specialty rulers are expensive so I have been slowly collecting them over the years. That being said, this video should be very helpful for people getting started with just a few basic rulers. Very good explanation!
Great tutorial showing how to square up 4 1/2 half triangle block, with these creative grid rulers. They are so awesome I purchased me a 5"-inch creative grid ruler a while back. Definitely a must have the 12 1/2 creative grid ruler so I purchased it. At first, I didn't do my research find out later on these creative grid rulers have so many different sizes so the first one I ordered was the 5 inches. Thinking of also purchasing the 6 1/2 inch somehow, I feel this size is very special in one way and another. Thank you so much for your video explaining very precise details on the trimming leaving the 1/4 inch it all makes sense to me now. I will be practicing until I get right.
Thank you so much for this video tutorial on trimming up block's, I'm a beginner at quilting and just learning on how to use creative grids rulers so thank you so so much 💖
At 11:52, I finally got my answer to my current quilt block dilemma. It's what I suspected that I needed to do, but hearing you say confirmed it. I love your teaching method, using precise words.

Good video
How do I preserve a 1/4 seam allowance around the perimeter of a block made up of HSTs in order to set a binding?

What is the name of the quilt behind you? It is beautiful and I would like the pattern.
Liked your video. Very informative. What kind of rotary cutter did you use. It cut so smooth.
i sure wish i had bought the 12.5" ruler you are using. I just bought a 12.5" omnicraft square up ruler for my wonky blocks. Wow, I'm so confused!!
Maybe there’s a tutorial online that demonstrates how to use it. 🤔
Might I ask the name of the block or quilt that is above your right shoulder? I love it and would enjoy making it! Thank you in advance.
Do you have favorite size template for trimming?
