Water Softener leaking after freeze

If you have a water softener that was installed outdoors with no protection nor insulation, then you may be having issues with leaks due to our recent freezing temperatures in February of 2021. Many bypass assembly parts were damaged due to freezing temperatures, causing many problems with the o-rings and gaskets inside the water softener control valve.
