It's even funnier because this is a temporary fix they added while developing the update and then forgot to remove it after they added a proper fix. Because the tutorial bucket isn't actually a part. Until you pick it up, it's a harvestable (like trees, stones, etc) that gives you a bucket item.
Death bags are also indestructible, so players used to take advantage of that, just like the bucket, until axolot made the bags not weldable. So if the devs patched that, I guess they will also patch the bucket.
That logic doesn't work because fixing the buckets would require completely different solution, because you can't really make them non-weldable. The way SM works, there's not really a good way to dynamically change the properties of the blocks or parts, which is one reason why there is no ball joints or detachable and re-attachable hitches either. One relatively easy solution would be just to make that one bucket at the start indestructible. It would still leave that one god-mode bucket to use as a shield, but it wouldn't completely break the game.
@@anteshellI was talking about the death bag fix, not how they would patch the bucket. The solution to the bucket issue is already in the game: the quest bucket is not actually a bucket, but a harvestable, just like a tree, a rock or a fence. Changing the 'destructable' property of the bucket to true won't affect the quest bucket, it will remain indestructible, since it is a different thing.
@@Mateo-zi8ub You said that if they patched the bag, they will probably patch the bucket too. That was the claim I was contesting. Making one extremely easy fix for one thing does not mean that they would do much more complicated fix on completely separate issue. Also, the bucket you receive when picking or "harvesting" it up is just a regular bucket. The exact same bucket that you can craft. That is exactly what I was providing a solution for; making a one single quest bucket that can't be crafted indestructible, while having a completely separate destructible bucket for everything else, because again, if it was a regular bucket changing it to be destructible after the quest is not a feasible thing to do in SM at the moment.
@@Ekipsogel Yeah, and again, you receive a normal bucket out of it. If you place that bucket on ground and let the bots destroy it before dousing the fire, you have the quest soft-locked. Potentially even hard-locked, but not sure about that.
AFAIK, farm bots have a jump attack, I think he targeted you over the "fence". Also the farm bot only managed to hit through the corner, as they didn't have buckets. If you put bucket corners, they should be blocked there as well. Most games handle items like the starting bucket separately, by basically having two items: One indestructible, which you can't make or get anywhere else, and one destructible, which you CAN build yourself and get through other means. That way this situation is prevented, as you will only ever have one indestructible item (or only very few).
This is not a "completely break survival mode" situation. You don't have to abuse unintuitively discovered meta knowledge to eliminate all challenge from the game, if you don't want to. This is not a problem. If you don't like exploits, then use the bucket... as a bucket.
Mediocre Milton. Could you test if you can move the big crates in the buildings? Ive seen this guy make a loot farm in his base by moving them but I think it was fake.
I’m really not sure, put I remember hitting the random spawned bucket with hammer. As I remember it destroyed. 100% happened before survival tutorial update (if actually happened)
@@MediocreMilton nope I didn’t cause you talk about this game as if you know so much and say it isn’t worth playing till the devs update it and then say that you haven’t played anything besides survival 💀 like yea ofc you ain’t gna like it if you don’t try to build stuff As to not feel discredited, I have over 1k hours in the game so I know what I’m yapping about

Oof tape bot popped himnin the air
the way to fix this would be to only make them invincible if the player has only obtained one bucket and any more then they become destructable
8:11 looks like it just glitched up onto the buckets. Prob could be easily cancelled if you made some sort of outward slope for the buckets
I WOULD NEVER HAVE GUESSED.
i know what i'm armoring my next vehicle with lol
the woc crates from inside warehouses are also same durability as keys, but limited numbers

I never tried that. But funny how they didn't want their game to break so they just made something d umb unbreakable.

0:09 is wrong. The bucket is obtainable in high quantities (can be crafted with 5 scrap metal) and can not be destroyed whatsoever.
