@@huey2612 props to u man. getting my tooth filled in tm cuz the ball chipped it when i got hit. getting hit hurts like hell respect for u playing goalie
All those people say God bless goalies, yes I feel you. It hurts a lot to get hit by a shot especially to have to block a ball by any means. However, once I switched from goalie to close D, taking shots I the mid section hurts a hell of a lot when you have tiny defense liners on instead of a goalie chest protector.
Me too, defenders take a lot more hits to the body than goalies do (well I do because I save more shots than my goalie) and he still gets all the credit...
Any Lacrosse player knows that if you want to find out what's inside a Lacrosse ball, just leave one on the field after practice and find the pieces after the guys have come and mowed the field. Easy.
+What's Inside? what's inside your fingers? Just kidding pls don't hurt yourself go on like this! *thumbs up* soooo..... What's inside an alarm clock? I mean everyone allready knows it scince it's the most destructed item on this world but i'd still like to see it
I've played lacrosse for a few years, and let me just say I've thrown myself Infront of that type of ball for a national championship. 3 broken ribs from one hit. 3 concussions in total career. "Just a rubber ball"
i play lacrosse and at one time i belive there used to be metal inside of them or at least somekind of practice ball btw lacrosse is the best sport ever
Walker Lierman Nice. A few people have commented that the older Lacrosse balls had concrete in them but they became too dangerous. Thanks for watching.
Ryan Jones Not true, It depends where you are in the country. East coast and North-East primarily it is huge. When I was in school more kids tried out for lacrosse than baseball.
Cutting round objects: get yourself 2 small pieces of pipe that will seat the round (ball), sandwich the ball between them, add small piece of wood to the top pipe, them then clamp down. This will save your hands, fingers and lots of pain. Have fun cutting!
My brother found 3 of these yesterday at the end of his field trip to the Yale vs Bucknell Men's Lacrosse tournament. Thank you for answering my questions on these. P.S. My little brother is 3 years younger than me; I'm 19 Years old.
I wonder how a sharp drill bit would work on this thing? I was going to get a bodyworks ball for my back but finding out they are basically a Lacrosse ball with a rope going through it...i'd rather spend a few bucks on a ball and drill it out and put a nylon rope through it rather than 39.95 for the bodyworks ball. Looks pretty solid.
I play lacrosse, but I've never seen what's inside a ball, so thanks for the video, I enjoyed it. Although, watching the ball get cut open, knowing how expensive and useful they are made me cringe. Thanks for the video, though!
I like how it said " this is dangerous don't try this at home" when he is doing it with no protection and two small kids next to him-it makes perfect sense (not)
LOL! On your kitchen counter! Man of the house! (for the moment) Appreciate your efforts very much - I am buying two lacross balls to make ball ends for my bar ends on my bike so that I have a nice big rubber ball to rest on when riding casually. And this video helped determine how well this will work when I drill them - solid inside ! Thank again
A lacrosse ball isn't just a rubber ball, it has a small ball bearing that is offset from center to randomize the bouncing of the ball. Every 2-3 bounces it springs forward.
Maybe cut one of those foam rollers that people use in physical therapy, I would know because I recently hurt my knee and had surgery! My physical therapist and I were talking about a half roller he had and he said maybe they just cut it in half. So you should try it sometime. They are cylinder and usually black.
Same!!! And it hurt when he cut the lax ball open, and I think it's funny when people say "cut open a lax stick" I'm sorry but I don't think he wants to cut open a $120.00 lax stick 😂😭😅
I got a few velocity NCAA spec lacrosse balls lying around and they are heavier than you may have expected. I want to say they are mostly compressed rubber but hurt like hell if you get hit with one playing
whats inside aa tv,a phone,a camera, a house ,a air conditioner, a fan, a magnet,a lamp ,a lava lamp ,a door handle,a real car,a gun .(cant think of anymore)
Malachi Voysey practice with your left as much as your right 2. your stick is your best friend any time you get the chance practice dodge garbage can or anything 3. play other sports to incorporate more skills and learn easily 4. build muscle memory you don't need a ball to practice passing and shooting 5. learn your stick how to sting it what pocket your comfortable with ect
There are actually oils inside the ball to keep it bouncy enough. The oils leak out from use and cover the ball in a thin layer of grease which we call greasers that slip in and out of the stick easily deeming them, useless.
I'm not positive so don't quote me on this but My grandfather played collage lax on the 50's and he tells me stories about how the ball was different in collage. He said it was to prevent injuries for goaltenders.
I play lax if you couldn’t tell. Throw it against the post. What you’ll get is music to a lax players ears. (Keep in mind it comes back faster than expected)
As a lacrosse player this hurts to watch balls are expensive bro
Bill bob The corn cob Not only that, but the fact thats a perfectly good ball. It hurts me as a someone who constantly looses balls in my backyard...
sjlaxmac2014 At least cut a greaser lol
Bill bob The corn cob I don't think he's too concerned with the cost considering he's cutting it on a granite countertop.
At my practice we throw greasers into the woods
Matthew Bazan hahahhahaha
that looks hard. coming from a lacrosse player (who has been hit by a lacrosse ball several times) lacrosse balls are hard and heavy.
Me straight In the side where I have no pads

Are they like a baseball with a slightly squishy exterior?
It may be pure rubber but it hurts like a bitch when you get hit in the shin or directly on the cup.
I am a goalie and I agree
Just like a puck
Anze X Visuals puck's way, way worse, not to mention hockey just being a rougher sport altogether
Ronald Swansong
Lacrosse and hockey are some of the roughest sports around.
howard baxter Fair enough
I'm surprised that you still have 10 fingers.
Keaton Giles Me too! Getting better at cutting though the more things we cut open. Thanks for watching!
What's Inside? This video was sooooo old
"if i roll the saw along the ball . . ."
How dare you cut such a fine specimen such at a lacrosse ball. It deserves to live free with the others in my ball bag.
Cutting something that costs like $2 isn't really worth it.
It's more like 4 dollars for one ball
+hayomadbro I keep losing mine all the time so Im the last one there after games so I take ones left behind
hayomadbro I agree with you. I also found it funny that you said that they would live free. In a ball bag? Funny!
hayomadbro ikr xD
I am surprised we did not see what was inside your fingers. Be careful man, you are dangerous.
I play lacrrose and it is the best sport ever
I agree
lax is life.
I'm from Canada and yea it's pretty fun but I like soccer /football more
you play lacrosse and don’t know how to spell it
Absolutely
I’m an eight grader who’s been playing since sixth grade.
It hurts so bad when it hits you. Goalies are so brave. We fire 100 mph shots and they just shake it off.
I'm a goalie in lax
+Ryans Puck I'm on offense check out my video where I just got my stick its a little dark I'm an amateur TH-camr
100 mph is an average in game shot from the worlds elites so I don't see you shooting over 100 mph
Garrett Brockmeyer what if he is an elite?
Random Vids Average college shot 90 to 100MPH.

My older brother when he was in high school cut a one and it was a metal ball with a wire around it.
I totally agree lacrosse is so fun
It's actually hilarious how little he knows about Lacrosse.
Hey have you ever thought that this isn't a lacrosse channel and not everyone knows everything about lacrosse. People are so ignorant.
Liam Mcavoy yeah nocsae =/=ncaa, and champion =/= championship, but this isn't a lax channel it's just literally cutting sports balls in half lol
It's because lacrosse is very very very unpopular in the u.s.a

Lacrosse is officially Canada's national sport. Not hockey.
We're do you put the stuff you cut open

Used to cut a bunch of lax balls on a ban saw and put a decal on the half balls and give them out to teams we played at tournaments
