Fantastic. I have a few CAD files on my computer of a rat trap I have been working on and it just like yours LOL Mine has a second door in back that will close as well to keep them from Backing out. Cant wait for this to hit the market. I have your other trap as well.
That is a huge problem with rat traps. Through extensive testing we were able to solve this problem with this trap. I will demonstrate how in an upcoming video.
It probably works by locking the plank part to prevent the trap from working and then adding bait so the rats think it's safe, then after a few days, you unlock the trap and they get caught when they return.
Mice don't either if they aren't looking for food and when they are, are still paranoid when they know they are entering a dead end and will do multiple feints before entering, sometimes even feinting inside and running back out. I found a trap that is pass through works MUCH better. You don't even need bait if it's placed in their path.

If weather or "other" finally does it in, I'll definitely try this one out... or the newest one you make. This one with the enclosed spinner keeps going and going though.

A practical alternative humane way to make dunk traps a kill trap without drowning? Is there another high value mouse food other than peanut butter for the dunk traps? Have others found dunk traps go periods without catching mice after killing a bunch?

I've been watching your channel for years, and the biggest take away has been that rats don't like to go into tunnels or enclosed spaces
That is a huge problem with rat traps. Through extensive testing we were able to solve this problem with this trap. I will demonstrate how in an upcoming video.
