Jiren truly is amazing, with no Devine state or anything just pure strength he had a power that surpassed the gods and even Ultra Instinct. He was able to control his power and goku's body couldn't handle mastered ultra instinct.

A lot of what Jiren believed in was stupid as hell. But I have to admit, the fact that Hit had any pride was absolute rubbish. I was 100% with Jiren on that one.

what I find interesting about jiren is that he's the first db main antagonist who wasn't evil he wasn't Stright up evil like vegeta, frieza or cell, he wasn't' chaotic evil like buu was nor was he really neutral like beerus was he was for the most part a hero he fought evil beings to help the innocent yea his view on power was extreme but that didn't really make him evil or anything just more tense
I love that this idea ties into the fact that Jiren never directly goes out of his way to fight anyone in the ToP. The first time he actually fights was against Majikayo, who was about to eliminate Dyspo. Then Goku directly challenges Jiren, followed by Hit. The only other time he fought in the ToP was when there were only two universes left and it was absolutely necessary for Jiren to participate.
When you think about it, Jiren is a pacifist in the ToP; he never fights (or uses his full power) until it's a last resort. The manga even explores this idea; before the tournament, Jiren says that he doesn't want to fight in the tournament if it means erasing other universes. It even parallel's 17's ideals before his recruitment. Most DB fans are quick to judge that Jiren is a bland muscle-headed wall that Goku has to break down, but I don't think that's true at all. There's more personality to him than most people think, and it deserves to be explored.

Pilaf did want to conquer the world. He was cruel to his minions and tried to Kill Goku and Bulma who were both kids at time. Not to mention Yamcha, Puar and Oolong.
Pilaf is evil but it's not really noticeable because of the comedic nature of the first arc.
