That is a beautiful piece. Al the cars are awesome too, I might have to start looking for some of those! This would have been a perfect addition to the #dagcolorcarrun
Yup, it's a nice one ...... At first I was disappointed after I purchased mine ...... seemed a little small to me ......but now I have it running with an REA reefer with Lionel Pullman cars from an add on set I picked up a couple of years ago ....... the cars go well with this engine ....... yours looks good with the rolling stock , thanks for the video 😁👍
You always have fine taste in trains Just a little tip,I got from Harry Henning You must run command engines frequently. At least every 6 months or you risk the boards being damaged.Current keeps boards healthy
Ben , I love your enthusiasm ! I am subscribed to your channel . Always enjoy your videos ! Thank You for putting in the time and the effort. I have both diesel and steam, The steam engines always have a lot of character. Once they are on the layout it’s hard to take them off and put the back in the box! 😂
That locomotive reminds me of the Pere Marquette 1225. I liked your history telling on the old boxcars. I never knew that. But it makes sense. I sometimes would wonder if them old boxcars were full of the product painted on the outside.
Awesome little history lesson about the reefer advertising I never knew that ! Awesome locomotive! I’m digging how you did your layout on the floor yet built up with scenery . Would you ever consider doing a video with wider shots to see a broader view of your layout ?
I am also a fan of the Berkshires. I have already ordered one as I also missed the last run of these. My plan is to have it be one of the engines I run around the Christmas layout. Ordered a set of scale Polar Express Coaches and the sound car. Love those sound cars and every time I hear that harmonica I think of my layout. I only go to my local train store unsupervised. Supervised means no purchases😏.
What a great model! This one is also a favorite of mine. I really wish Lionel did this one in their most recent run of berks. I definitely would’ve preordered one if they made it again.
Love your content. It inspires me to keep looking and trying to achieve that Berkshire. That you have thank you for your in-depth. Look at it. I'm from Michigan, I'm trying to emulate trains from the iron ore air, so thank you for your input in your time. God bless JB. Bell
Are you allowed to be unsupervised? This is a fantastic engine, and that sound is so realistic. The challenge is on for the best sounding Lionel engines.😍🚂 Every train you showcase is awesome though, no matter what brand they are. Happy railroading ~MrTrain
Went to Legacy Station unsupervised 🤣🤣 Great looking engine!
😂
LOL you made me spit out my coffee "supervised".
Thank you for sharing all of your amazing trains and experiences! We truly appreciate you!
I have the opportunity to buy this or a 425, which should I get?
This locomotive is being restored .
She was part of the southern rail way program.Fine Berkshire uou have.

The fact they didn’t might make values go up!
Looks great Ben! Saw one of those pop up for sale recently, almost grabbed it!
Well you’ve got the Polar Express Berk on the way!
THAT THING IS STUNNING!!! WHERE DO YOU FIND THESE THINGS!!! 😮😮😮😮 I ALSO LIKE THOSE UP HERITAGE SD70ACEs BEHIND YOU. PEACE BRUTHA. 🙂

I always liked that livery on the Berk. Nice choice on picking it up back when you did.
Gorgeous locomotive Ben.
SR did a fantastic job giving the 2716 the look of a Southern locomotive.
Enjoy that beauty!

Beautiful locomotive and rolling stock Ben, love the detail and the sounds.
A timely video on a great engine. I pre ordered #765 out of the Big Book. My first Legacy engine. "Good things come to those who wait" ! 👍
I'm not particularly a fan of the Southern Railway, but that is a very nice locomotive. Great whistle too! - Ryan
